Over all happy with the truck. I purchased the extended warranty, though I was skeptical at first, but changed my mind when the finance guy told me that it covered EVERYTHING. I said, "yeah, but probably warranty, though I was skeptical at first, but changed my mind when the finance guy told me that it covered EVERYTHING. I said, "yeah, but probably not shocks and stuff," knowing that warranties are tricky and expensive things. He replied, "no, everything from windshield wipers to wheels, except for tires & brakes." Foolishly I trusted his word (which he subsequently denied saying at all), and found out the hard way when I needed the shocks replaced within a few months. The manager there was kind enough to pay 50% for the shocks since there was the "misunderstanding." I felt OK at that point and have had other warranty work done subsequently that was covered. Recently I discovered a leak in the cab of the truck and brought it in for service. They discovered that the water was coming in through the third brake light and called the warranty company... Naturally the warranty company said that the parts and labor were not covered under my warranty. Again, shame on me for not reading the fine print of my warranty, but I'm frustrated and disgusted that I was so blatantly mislead. I am highly doubtful that I will ever purchase a vehicle from Northwest Chevy in Bellingham in the future. More
