I have bought an alot of cars over the years, this was the best experience I have ever had at any dealership. Within minutes of us walking in Bailey approached us to see if we were being helped. He took us back to his office and we talked and lucky enough a vehicle that we wanted to test drive had just came of a truck, we test drove that knew this was what we were looking for. All attitude. Had the motor on my Sportage replaced under the motor recall and things were fine for about 11-12 months, then transmission failed. I took it to another Kia dealer who said I needed a new tran the motor recall and things were fine for about 11-12 months, then transmission failed. I took it to another Kia dealer who said I needed a new transmission. Then he called me and said it looked as if the transmission had not been properly reassembled and that likely caused the failure. He called Northtown who's answer from their head mechanic was "it is out of warranty, we will do nothing". So I called Northtown several times and was told they would call back, after I called the Kia America customer hotline. Still no call back from Northtown. Called Kia America again, and after a month of trying, I got a call from the Manager of Kia who said "I have the report from my mechanic and the report from the other Kia mechanic, go ahead and sue me". He then gave me his name and hung up. no discussion, no sorry this happened, no empathy just a polite "FU". I will never deal with Northtown again. More

My wife recently took our 2021 sportage in for oil change, tire rotation. The technician claimed the coolant reservoir was low, and added coolant. They then charged my wife for a gallon of coolant, an change, tire rotation. The technician claimed the coolant reservoir was low, and added coolant. They then charged my wife for a gallon of coolant, and sent her home with the remainder of the gallon. The remainder of the coolant in the gallon jug is about 90%. I called to see why a car with 14 K miles on it, and less than a year old would need to have coolant added. A service manager gave me a BS explanation about dissamilar metals and expansion and contraction rates which basically causes the engine in this car to drink it's own coolant. Bottom line, Kia has a known issue with the poor design, and makes the customer pay for it. Seriously, any normal dealership would add a few ounces of coolant to a nearly new car as a courtesy. The more reasonable explanation is that this vehicle was not properly topped with coolant when it was new on the lot. More
