Purchased a new Ford Fusion and a used Dodge Caravan. On delivery both cars were not acceptance. Both cars were dirty and not present to us. I returned both cars the next day after the sale. I presented the delivery both cars were not acceptance. Both cars were dirty and not present to us. I returned both cars the next day after the sale. I presented the issues to the manager and both were cleaned on the spot, however after a more detailed inspection at my home all areas on the used car were not addressed. I felt it necessary to clean the used caravan myself, replaced all the tire valve caps. The salesman also did not take us on a tour of the service department. I only found the service department after walking through the dealership while waiting for the van maintenance issue to be completed. During finance we had our two children with us and through the final sales with the salesperson. Both individuals did not mention the children s play area. We could of taken our children there during finance and sales of the vehicles which would allow us to concentrate on the the sale and finance of these vehicles. They also failed to mention the enterprise rental car, cafe, and promotions for the wide screen TV and cancer for cure campaigns near the receptionist. Overall this dealership is average to all other dealerships in the San Antonio area. Defendantly a far cry from the Gunn Honda, our last purchase. More

The sales agents were very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. Overall, I had a good experience. A rating of 4 is due to the financing part of my experience. I was under the impression from Ford's advertisement that the Ford Advantage Plan was available for new purchases at no additional cost. When it came to our financing, we put $10,000 down (cash) and financed approximately $7,000. We were not able to finance with Ford Credit at the same rate as other lenders. We were told that it would be a 7.9% interest rate if we were to finance with Ford Credit. The other lenders were between 4-5%. We opted to finance with one of the other lenders due to the additional cost in interest with Ford Credit. However, we were informed that we did not qualify for the Ford Advantage Plan unless we used Ford Credit. I feel that the Ford advertisements are misleading in this respect. I would have liked more information explaining the details of the program. I still question whether we should have qualified for the Ford Advantage Plan. More
Wayne was by far the easiest to deal with (after almost 60 days of shopping) and the most straightforward in discussions. Frankly, he was the reason I purchased from this dealership and it is he that I wou 60 days of shopping) and the most straightforward in discussions. Frankly, he was the reason I purchased from this dealership and it is he that I would recommend to others. The finance individual did not push extended warranties too hard, but was very evasive about the gap insurance he was attempting to hide in the paperwork detailing final price. I had to repeatedly ask why the bottom line total was differen than negotiated with Wayne and eventually got a straight answer that he had included gap insurance. The financ eperson's goal was to focus on monthly payment range written upon on the preliminary paperwork (which I had not signed or initialed) rather than the negotiated price. More
I planned to stop at two dealerships: Ford and Dodge. Northside was my first stop, so I was intent on reaching key decision points rapidly to make best use of time. Representatives at Northside gave me a Northside was my first stop, so I was intent on reaching key decision points rapidly to make best use of time. Representatives at Northside gave me an immediate welcome that came across as sincere, not contrived. When shopping for a truck, I drive the agenda or leave the dealership if a salesman tries to take charge. The staff did a superb job of supporting my efforts to reach a decision, so I stayed and bought an F-150. Actions by the dealer that were decisive in my decision included: *Advertised a good price and backed it up with action---honesty counts big in my book. *Offered a fair trade in number for the market we are in---no effort to off set a discounted price with a poor trade in offer. *Able to shape the outline on a possible deal on the internet: though details were not fully defined, the dealership was bold enough to lay out potential ways the negotiations could go. This was a "go/no go" point in my exploration of Northside Ford. Sales staffs who use the internet to get people into the show rooms absolutely will never get people like me to come in. We use the internet for commerce, not a "come on". *Presented a facility that is clean, well maintained. Important to car guys like me. Filthy dealership suggests sloppy shop for follow on work to new vehicle. *Staff: this is a well managed business that looks out for its people. Any business that invests in people gets my attention as the good morale will spill over into matters that benefit me when I go down the road of vehicle ownership. Hope this helps, and is the type of input you are looking for, Jack More
Purchasing this car for my 16 yr old son was a major decision for my husband and I ---- obviously safety was a crucial decision point. Our salesman, Bo McDermott was amazing! He was patient, informati decision for my husband and I ---- obviously safety was a crucial decision point. Our salesman, Bo McDermott was amazing! He was patient, informative, and knowledgeable. We also met with Don Cote and Jim Thompson whom assisted us with gaining more knowledge regarding the vehicle. We all love the car. We know we made the right decision. This is the 3rd car/truck we've purchased through Northside and we know it won't be the last. Northside is lucky to have such great associates. More
Mike was very professional and knew all his facts and figures. He helped with a trade-in, which I got a very good price for and stayed an hour after hours to help close a deal on a new 2009 F-150. I brought the vehicle back the next day for a wash and vac and Mike knocked it out in less than an hour given a twenty minute notice. I look forward to doing business again and have already referred a few friends from work. More
