I had no plans to purchase a car until now, but due to a new job that requires daily home visits to many different patients I had to find an appropriate vehicle, not too flashy and not too luxury, but not a jalopy either. I went to several (I believe SIX!) car dealerships to check on vehicles that I painstakingly looked up on the internet and they were typical salesmen playing the game of sales. I did not feel that any of the deals presented to me were good deals at all. No one listened to my situation, no one cared about my situation. No one really listened to what I was looking for. No one really cared. One particular car I went to check on at KingsAutoMall was an ad that completely listed the wrong car with the wrong details, but of course that is no one's fault and no they will not give me a deal because of it. I had no choice but to keep looking, so I thought I would try Northgate Ford. Our truck purchase was more than we wanted to spend but the salesman explained all of the details and specifications of the truck without hassle, and the deal was made totally without frustration. We didn't even have all of the appropriate paperwork and were there at closing and they still took good care of us. I cannot remember the gentlemans name who was our salesman for that purchase, but I thought well the dealership was good so lets see what they have. When I looked up the dealer online for myself on Sunday morning, I was already disgruntled becasue I was going to have to spend my day AGAIN to try and get a car. I knew I would not be able to get one this weekend because the week had already been a disaster, and I told myself I will just keep looking and hope for something that I can afford that isn't going to break down in a month. I found a 2011 Ford Fusion that I really thought looked nice. I went to take a look and Sales Consultant Vicki Wilburn was standing in the parking lot and asked if she could help me. Probably not, but I told her what I saw online and she went to see if it was still there. We looked. We test drove it. We talked. I asked if I could have it for a couple thousand less. She said no, BUT, she was willing to see if we could come down a little on price and help me even with my trade in. The final price she came up with along with a FAIR interest rate that no one else out there was able to come up with is amazing. Why can't everyone do this? It's really not that hard to be nice? I'm not looking for a FREE car. I work my butt off and I'm willing to pay for what I want but it has to be AFFORDABLE. Vicki not only got me an affordable deal, but I have been having trouble trying to navigate to places I have never been before by the map on my iphone because I am also talking on the phone and the map disappears when the phone rings. I have to constantly redo the screen and this is unfortunately causing distracted driving. Vicki showed me how to operate the navigation system and synced my iphone to the car. I cannot tell you what a wonderful day this woman has made for me. I embarrassingly sat at her desk and cried, and then cried again when I got home. And now I'm crying again as I write this. I just really needed a "break" and Vicki was there right at the right moment. Words just do not explain enough what a wonderful thing she has done. We talked about our jobs, our families, our likes, our dislikes. She was a true friend in a time of need for me and now I am just shocked at the fantastic deal she presented to me after ALL the other dealerships gave me a hard time about what I was looking for versus what I was "NEVER going to find". Ben Skolnick introduced himself to me and told me the interest rate that he got. I asked if he could check again because I thought it could go a little lower, He rechecked and found that yes, there is another one that we can get. THIS was very helpful even though it was going to mean just a few difference in dollars on the month, it still matters to me. In finance, Janet Kinder was personable, genuinely cared about the deal, and had problems with my title and vin number on my trade-in. She went above and beyond with investigating the problem and figured it out, and fixed it. My street is very close and everyone was looking the car over when I got home. They cannot believe it. I have told them everything I just wrote here. I am going to tell everyone. I am going to plaster it all over Facebook and I am going to shout it from the mountaintops. I mean it. Someone in finance department pushed me through and I didn't realize I was being charged for GAP insurance until after I returned home. Went down the next morning and Janet Kinder helped me remove the insurance. She was very helpful and expedient! More
