My husband bought me a 2012 Acura MDX for my birthday in December. Other than ask for a white one, I had very little to do with the process, until the day we picked it up. Dawn had everything in terms o December. Other than ask for a white one, I had very little to do with the process, until the day we picked it up. Dawn had everything in terms of paperwork ready to go, and made me feel like we had been friends forever. She showed me all of the unique features of my new vehicle, gave me time and space to try things out on my own - and was genuinely happy for me that I had this new car! When I needed to come in for my first service appointment, Chris let me know that if I came in first thing in the morning, he'd be able to get me in and out in 90 minutes - which he beat - out in 75! And waiting for your vehicle to be serviced sitting on a leather couch with a big TV, homemade cookies and beverages is not so bad! When I picked up a bolt in my tire and needed to get in right away, Chris helped me out again - knowing I was taking time form work to be there, he had me in and out in no time. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Northeast Acura. the personnel are friendly, courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this dealership! More
I had an Acura Integra and loved it, then I went to a Toyota and did not like it at all. I knew I'd go back to Acura and now I have an RDX. The vehicles are made extremely well and when I went through Toyota and did not like it at all. I knew I'd go back to Acura and now I have an RDX. I bought my 2004 MDX at this dealer new. The radiator developed a leak which foulded the tranny resulting in a $6,000 repair bill. To their credit, Acura paid for half, although one might argue they shou developed a leak which foulded the tranny resulting in a $6,000 repair bill. To their credit, Acura paid for half, although one might argue they should have done more. My issue with this dealer is: - They had the MDX for 2 weeks. We didn't have it 10 miles from the dealership when the D5 indicator started flashing. We had to return it for another 5 days so they could fix the issue with the new (rebuilt) tranny. Pathetic....how about a road test next time? - The navi unit went blank just a few days before the above issue occurred. Despite the fact that they had the vehicle for 2.5 weeks, they made zero progress on the issue and had no suggestions other than replacing the touchscreen ($3,000) or the navi unit ($2,500) and see if one of those fixed the issue. Instead, I sent the navi unit to Alpine and for $158 (and about 10 mins of my labor), it was fixed. You'd think they could have done the googling I did to resolve the issue. Apparently the $48k I have spent there on this SUV wasn't enough to warrant that kind of effort. - The tranny came with a 3 yr, 36,000 mile warranty, but the dealer OVERSTATED the mileage by about 1,400 miles on the work receipt not once but TWICE. It's a digital odometer, so how they got it wrong both times, and in their favor, is for you to decide. I have 2 friends that both travel to NJ to buy their Acuras just to avoid this place. Their reputation on my area is not good. More
