Dmitriy Rutman was MORE than helpful and knew that I was not an" amateur " when it came to either purchasing or leasing a Mazda! After all, I just picked up my seventh Mazda today!! The purchasing experience was not only detailed and thorough, Dmitriy took the time to actually sit in the vehicle with me to go through the new "features". and show me "hands on" how they worked! Atrocious Anger Issues On March 31st, 2016 I arrived at North Shore Mazda of Salem to reclaim my previously owned Honda CRV. Having purchased a Honda Element from Mazda earl On March 31st, 2016 I arrived at North Shore Mazda of Salem to reclaim my previously owned Honda CRV. Having purchased a Honda Element from Mazda earlier that week, it was determined after an off site diagnostic test at Honda Prime on March 30th that the car was defective. The transmission was determined to be faulty, among other issues. The Element had an on site diagnostic at Mazda upon my arrival as scheduled at 10:00 AM on March 31st. I then waited one and a half hours without any contact or updates from the customer service team, so I walked to the other side of the lot to the service building and inquired as to who would provide me with an update. I was instructed to speak with Dan { Mr. Daniel McBride} and given the keys to the Element. I returned to the showroom, told an employee that I would need to speak to Mr. McBride, watched as he was made aware of my presence, and I waited. What transpired next was beyond belief. The hostile experience Mr. McBride created was unparalleled. After waiting in the showroom within sight of him in his office and observing him walk by me multiple times with no acknowledgment to my presence, I went to his office door and introduced myself. I requested we begin to finalize the details of regaining my previously owned CRV and returning the newly purchased defective Element. Mr. McBride's demeanor, already abrupt, became increasingly agitated when I requested I be reimbursed for the money it cost me to purchase the original diagnostic. His reply was an exasperated retort "I really don't want to but I will!" And ordered me to "go sit over there", meaning the showroom seat. His abrasive manner was consistent throughout the entire interaction and I commented that I felt his approach was unprofessional, but did as I was told and walked to the show room lobby. Mr. McBride immediately crossed the threshold from poor professionalism into complete rage and intimidation. He followed me to the lobby, raised his voice and reproached me for my comment and gave me a hostile lecture laced with notes of "how dare I'. He subsequently approached me two more times for the same dressing down. I was not comfortable with his unprofessional behavior and requested he please back away from my personal space, as he was growing increasingly aggressive and enraged. On his third round of a verbal beating I requested many times that he "Please Stop" and leave me be, noting to him that it was apparent he had the inability to control his anger, which he acknowledged and attempted to justify. I truly felt threatened and expressed this to him. He still could not stop. No customer should EVER be subjected to the atrocious behavior I had to endure by Mr. McBride. His use of intimidation and antagonism are apparently his means to bully the customer into submission, and in no way meant to diffuse an issue or improve customer relations. I was humiliated in front of other customers, one even commenting "Good luck" as he passed me. With no vehicle in which to leave, I was physically stuck at this location having to cope with a grown man relentlessly badgering me and no other senior employee trying to reel him in or intercede on my behalf. This is unacceptable and there is no excuse. He finally calmed himself and controlled his angry outbursts, but because of his punishing resentment toward me he also delayed the use of a loaner car as advised by my insurance company, which resulted in a missed day's pay as well. I was shaken and tearful from this humiliating experience while on my drive home. More

Both times, Sales Consultant, Duarte Bettencourt was very professional and sincere. When I purchased my new car 3/24/2016 , Duarte Bettencourt and Dan McBride made it possible for me to drive away in my car within a few hours. All the necessary paper work done and even made sure that I was able to return my rental to the car rental office. The customer service was excellent and I will recommend to all my family and friends to ask for Duarte Bettencourt when they are shopping for a new or used car. North Shore Mazda is a friendly no hassle selling kind of dealership. Thank you for all your help. Carolyn Lewis More

Maho Dzebic handled all the registry and insurance paperwork, which was not easy because there were a lot of issues he encountered with the insurance agency. He was very professional.
