My husband and I showed up on a Sunday interested in purchasing the Mazda CX-9. AJ greated us and was very laid back (we liked that) and he showed us the CX-9 in the showroom and we explained what we we purchasing the Mazda CX-9. AJ greated us and was very laid back (we liked that) and he showed us the CX-9 in the showroom and we explained what we were looking for, our trade in (which we were belly up on) and what we were looking to pay. He promptly showed us the 2wd sport and we took it for a drive. When we got back we sat and ran numbers. They ran our credit scores and then AJ came back with two unbelievable offers that met our criteria. We filled out the loan application and after waiting AJ came back and said everything went great the car was ours but they had to finish the paper work with a "live" person Mon morning and that he would call us when we could come in to pick it up. AJ went to the extent of telling us that we should clean our trade in out and that we could tell people we got a new car. I was so excited. AJ actually told us this site and wanted us to leave a good review, good thing we waited! I was amazed at the service, as it was great up until then. Monday morning came around..then the afternoon, still no call. My husband called AJ at about 2 and he said he would call him back in 10 mins he would have to talk to Freddie to see what was going on. 3 hours later AJ called back saying that we couldn't get the new CX-9 but that they had a used one we could definitely get, no questions about it, that he was 10 steps ahead of us in the process. We recently purchased a house which was making it difficult to get a loan for 35k but were approved for 25k. I should have walked away at this point but I loved the car so we went and took a look at it and test drove it. We loved it. We met with Freddie and he said that we were approved for the 25k but he would have to run it by the bank to make sure we could still get it. I specifically asked if we were already approved for the loan why he had to re-run it by the bank, did it matter if the car was new or used and he responded telling me the bank doesn't look at the car you are buying and approve you, they only use your credit and income, clearly not answering my question. I was confused and so was my husband. He said he would call me around 1030am on Tuesday. That evening my husband asked if we dropped the trade would that make it easier and both Freddie and AJ said it wouldn't come to that because this was definitely going to work with the trade in and used car. Tuesday rolled around and no call. My husband called AJ around 1 and he said that the person they work with at the bank wasn't in today but that scenario 2 (used and trade in) wasn't going to work but that it was definitely going to work with no trade in, buying the used alone. It was then that I knew we were being screwed some way some how. If the banker that was handling the loan wasn't in to approve scenario 3..how were they able to deny our shot with the used car and trade it for 25k? Especially after Freddie told us he was positive it was going to work? After thinking about it all night and how I wasn't going to give my business to people who gave me the run around for 3 days, lied to me for 3 days and tried to screw me over for 3 days, my business I put my foot down and said that if I wasn't getting the used car with my trade in for 25k there was no deal. That is when Chris the GM called me and got involved, at which the whole time I knew I was on speaker phone with sales people in the room listening in. I spoke with him at 930am and he told me he was going right to the finance manager (Freddie) and would call me back. At 1pm I got a call from the 2 of them asking me to put more money down, or get a different cosigner, neither which I agree to as my husband and I make good money, which by the way they didn't use our additional income for the loan (why, I have no idea) nor did they bother to verify it and if they did they wouldn't have had any issues. They gave me some lecture which doesn't make sense on their end or justify their actions as we were approved for the 25k but wouldn't sell us the car. They wanted more money. It was then that I said I am taking my business else where to a dealership that would appreciate it. We may be a young couple and we may be car hungry, but we aren't stupid. If they had done good business with us we would have purchased my husbands new car through them as well and all future cars. Do not go here unless you plan on paying for your car in cash. EDIT: We just went to Liberty Mazda in Wakefield and had a GREAT experience. We were in and out WITH A CAR THAT DAY in 1 1/2 hours. They got us in the car we wanted, which was the same as at Ira, for a better price and rate. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THESE PEOPLE. More
We worked with Albert Blank who was very friendly and really knew his stuff. He knew Mazda's history, its quality and especially the model of car (Mazda 3) that we were interested in. He was able to give us a complete run down of all the features and took us out on a test drive that really let us get a feel for the car. He helped us figure out which model had the features we were looking for without trying to oversell us into a more expensive model (which would have made us leave the dealership since we wanted a more basic/commuter car). He was helpful in the price negotiations. We would recommend Al- a great salesman for Mazda who seems to enjoy getting people the cars they need. More

My experience was okay until after I got home from the dealership. It has been two weeks now since I have driven off their lot and continue to receive call after call from them asking me about more inform dealership. It has been two weeks now since I have driven off their lot and continue to receive call after call from them asking me about more information about financing the car that I already drove home.I was told that I could even be in first payment default because of this.I understand that the deal was made on a Sunday when the banks were closed but I did not pick up the car until Tuesday, at which time they told me I was all set. When I was getting ready to leave the financing office, my wife asked the finance person if we were done and if we were financed...her answer was and I quote, "You would not have been in this office and filled out this paperwork if you were not." In my estimation, it is very poor business practice to let anyone leave the dealership in a new car without having the financing completed. This is the second car I have purchased/leased in two years. I was extremly satisfied with my first purchase, which is why I came back. I would not be so iinclined to business here again. More
I tried to get into a Lease but my credit wasnt good enough. They got me into a great used car (2009 Mazda3)at a good interest rate even with my not so great credit score. I recently totalled my car, and was in dire need of purchasing a new one - i visited a couple of dealerships and by far the most pleasant, unstressful and rewarding experience was at Ira. Al & Chris we purchasing a new one - i visited a couple of dealerships and by far the most pleasant, unstressful and rewarding experience was at Ira. Al & Chris were very friendly and worked with me to find the exact car I was looking for based on my needs for a fair price. I didn't once feel like Al was trying to "make a sale". Rather he listened to what I was looking for, and found me the exact car to a tee. They were more pushy about having me eat donuts and muffins then they were about selling me a car. I'd recommend Al and this dealership to all of my friends and family. More

I visited IRA Mazda on January 30th and ended up having a very pleasant experience. The Mazda CX-7 is a great car and Al Blank did a great job selling it to me. My husband and I bought a Mazda Cx9 from A.J and I must say the whole experience was so easy, starting with being able to take the car on a test drive "by ourselves" with no pressure about what we wanted o say the whole experience was so easy, starting with being able to take the car on a test drive "by ourselves" with no pressure about what we wanted our monthly payments to be, all the way to having them fill the tank up when we picked the car up! I dont know if we got the best deal ever, but dealing with A.J and his manager was so easy and they were so professional and just plain nice, that I didnt feel like we were dealing with the typical "Car salesman". I would definetly recommend this dealership and especially A.J. to friends and family. More
