I was in the market to lease a new 5 series and since I live in Mt. Sinai, Competition was the closest dealer. As soon as I went in there, I was partners with a typical car salesman, who wouldn't let me spit two words out and made me feel intimidated and scared of saying anything. I felt very pressured and uneasy working with him. After I picked out a car, he informed me that the finance manager needs to know "I'm serious" about my purchase and refused to even look at my credit application or even run it until I gave them a $500 "refundable" security deposit to go towards the down-payment. After being constantly treated like xxxx there, I decided enough was enough. I called Oyster Bay, told them the deal Competition was giving me on a 528i, I told them exactly what I wanted and what I was comfortable paying. Evelyn took my call in the morning and had gotten me a much better deal on a 535i with a lot less out of pocket and almost the same monthly payments. Even though I called her on a Saturday, one of the busiest days in car sales in assuming bc everyone is off, she offered me a deal I couldn't refuse. I drove 40 miles to Oyster Bay Sunday and had my car within an hour. She had taking care of everything from the plates to the insurance. Not only will I be going to Oyster Bay from now on, I will recommend everyone I know to Evelyn bc she's just a doll and so pleasant to work with. They made my transition so easy and convenient that I don't mind how far away they are, their service is exceptional. PS. It's been two weeks and I still haven't gotten my "refundable" deposit from competition. Don't trust them, they're liars ! Thank you Evelyn for your professionalism and kindness! You're the best !
