Seemed to be getting a good deal on a used car. Took forever to get the car ready for delivery. When items promised on the bill of sale were not completed, they didn't want to know me. Do not buy extended Warranty from North shore honda, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL because they will unknowingly make you sign an agreement that if you CANCEL HONDA CARE, NORTH SHORT HONDA will charge you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL because they will unknowingly make you sign an agreement that if you CANCEL HONDA CARE, NORTH SHORT HONDA will charge you their extended warranty. It took me well over 2 hours of travel time to get to this dealership (SHAME ON ME!) and this hack talked me out of leasing a new car in 5 minutes. He didn't offer me a test drive, he was unpleasant, his appearance was shoddy at best, he was extremely unprofessional, and quite frankly he was a d!xx. I think he was turned off by the fact that I had brought in an ad from the paper, little did he know I was willing to purchase a car outright after my test drive. Although he never offered me a test drive he just inflated the Ad price to 3X. He acted as if he couldn't be bothered and for that he lost a sale. I've since purchase my new accord from Plaza Honda. Harold, you are a hack! Another thing I thought was cute, when he asked me if he could help me, I said sure I'd like some more infomation on the ad in yesterdays paper. We chose to return to North Shore Honda after being very satisfied with our previous purchase at this dealer five years ago. Our salesperson, John S., helped us back then with the purchase of our 2007 Civic satisfied with our previous purchase at this dealer five years ago. Our salesperson, John S., helped us back then with the purchase of our 2007 Civic, and it was a pleasure to have him assist us again for our new CR-V! His sales style is so comfortable for us, since he basically lets the automobile sell itself. When there is a question, he is very knowledgeable and honest with his answers. When it comes time for the numbers, he is just as professional, and we once again felt that he would do his best in order for us to be completely satisfied with all facets of our purchase. Upon delivery, John was just as friendly, helpful and informative. Also working with us on our purchase was Manager Barry Stamblek. Barry was a true gentleman, and when we realized that we would have to postpone the delivery by a few days due to a personal matter, he was very understanding and gracious. That is one of the wonderful things about this dealership - we never felt any pressure or sense of obligation. They really do try to work with the customer to make the buying experience as pleasurable as possible. The same could be said for Finance Director Eddie Hass. We never felt pressured into buying any additional items that we were not interested in. he was very honest and straightforward about the pricing, and his knowledge of all of these items and services was impressive. It was a pleasure to have Eddie Hass finalise our purchase. We would highly recommend North Shore Honda, and we will be sure to return when the time comes to purchase our next new or used Honda for our son. We have visited other dealers in the past, but always come back to North Shore Honda! And be sure to ask for John for your salesperson. Everyone we've dealt with from Amber(Business Development) who picked up the phone to Harold Wagner(Salesperson) to Eddie Haas(Finance Mgr), were very professional and friendly. Amber provided great over the phone customer service and in person greeting. Harold was not pushy at all and gave us a great price on the 2012 Honda CR-V EX 4WD upfront. Eddie did his job of offering us the extended warranty and when we declined he understood and was not pushy about it. He also got us a good finance rate from chase. Harold was very patient with us as we spent the whole day dealing with the insurance to get the car out. Overall, I was very impressed with the service we received on that day (This is coming from somebody who worked in 2 dealerships before). In return, we gave them a spot delivery. Stay as far away from dealer as you possibly can. These are the reason for the stereotype "Used Car Salesman" adjective. I went in for a used Accord advertised at 18,900. I found it strange that the car I went in for is the first car parked exactly in front of the shop out of hundres of new and used cars they have. The salesman was a out of work realtor who knew nothing about cars and all he talked about was the new house he was trying to sell. He had no answer for any of my questions. And here comes the best part: After a short test drive we return to the shop and I ask for an offer, the salesman comes back from his little chat with his boss to tell me that not only they cant offer me a better than sticker price , but he is actually raising the price to 21,900 !!!. That's when I realized the car is the proverbial bait and after googling these crooks I found this site. Nothing posted here surprised me a bit since I experienced it first hand. Be warned and dont waste your time on these dishonest jerks, I found my dream car at Platinum V.W. in Hicksville. More
The worst experience I had at this dealer. Went in looking for a used car. Negotiate the price and when we took a test drive, we felt some noise. It was agreed that they will fix it and we left a deposit so that they could process loan.. when we got back next day to pick the car the problem was not fixed and kept arguing that there is no problem. We decided to drop the deal. They disagreed to give back the deposit and trouble us a lot.They behaved very badly and abused us. Atlast ended up paying half of the deposit. I would never recommend this place even if someone get a car for a cheaper price. you will loose your peace of mind if you buy a car here... Better look for other good dealers. Dont waste your time and money. More
