I took my 2009 Armada for service the end of March. I left it there on Friday and was picking it up on Tuesday since I was going to be away for a few days. Big mistake !!! I needed them to look at the t left it there on Friday and was picking it up on Tuesday since I was going to be away for a few days. Big mistake !!! I needed them to look at the two back windows that go up very slow and sometimes gets stuck and that didn't get fixed. They said the grease it and it still goes slow and makes noise that wasn't there before. I wanted them to fix a noise that the truck was making when I went over bumps and they did but he said it was not covered under warranty. They also replaced a belt that was making noise in the mornings. I told them that the wiper didn't want to go down all the way and they charged me $50 for an adjustment. When I got back on Tuesday I went to pick up the truck and it was not completed so they have me a loaner car for a few hours. They called me and tried telling me I needed to do a bunch of other things to the truck but ia don't trust what they day so I take it to my cousin which is a mechanic to verify I need those things done to my truck. Later that afternoon I picked up the truck and took it home but I noticed that the plastic vents where the wipers sit is all faded. I know my truck and I know that was not like that when I dropped it off. I took it back to the dealer and showed the service guy and he said he has not need to switch it and it was like that. Someone there switched it and I don't trust this service center and will never go again. More

I had purchased a car at this dealer 25 months to the day. Only because I was recommended by a friend who had purchased here. I scheduled a service for a free oil change that came with the purchase. I day. Only because I was recommended by a friend who had purchased here. I scheduled a service for a free oil change that came with the purchase. I indicated the milage and confirmed the last prior oil change with them. I also requested the free wash and tire rotation. I dropped the car off the night prior and called in the morning to confirm the time the car would be ready for pick up. Here is where the nonsense started..... I was then told that the car was due for 30K/ 24 month service, for $495. Which includes: oil change w/ filter (which I was getting anyway) replace air filter rotate tires and balance coolant system flush/ refill replace transmission/cvt fluid inspect and adjust brakes flush brake fluid replace wiper blades inspect suspenion and chasis Top off all under hood fluids perform engine oil additives inspect door and hood/ trunk hinges inspect tires/ wear inspect exhaust system Also, replace in cabin microfilter, for $89.-- I was a little hesitant at first due to price. I had just received a coupon from the dealer for $100 off 30/45/60/75K/90/105K Service. So I was expecting to pay $395 + 89 for microfilter for $484 + tax. No problem... I was told that this takes about 3 hours to complete. I called in to find out when the vehicle would be ready and then informed I was misquoted because the coolant service was not included and the price was $595. The price of $495 was already discounted. So basically, the price already included the $100 off. Here is where I totally lost my trust with these guys. Because until I mentioned the coupon it was never discussed. Another thing here is they offer free loaner car with service. Now this is the second time that they offer service after the fact that the car is already dropped off. At this point it is too late to get a loaner car. So I am already stuck without a vehicle... I balked at the charge and was explained that the err was discussed with the service manager and the best they could do would be to charge for the in cabin filter and not the labor for $50. They indicated that they had the best price in the area (specifically route 22). At this point is when I done further research and found out from Nissan and another dealer that the in cabin filter should be included in the service. When I went to pick up the car this was all discussed on what should be included and what I was originally quoted. After Dan further discussed this with his manager (over the phone because he was off for the day) they came up with a new price where I was not directly charged for the filter but the price did not include the discount with coupon. In conclusion after all this and finding out that the in cabin filter was included I was expecting to pay $395 + tax. Bottom line was charged $455 + tax. Even more the receipt does not even indicate the correct service as it states 15K service that I REQUESTED. Here is another change, where I did not in the first place request anything but oil change and rotation. I do not ever plan on ever going back to this dealership - not even for the free oil change. I do not even trust that they would change the oil. More
I have never taken the time to go and do a review, because really I am trying to get a car and that takes most of my focus now a days. BUT BOY - This time, I have to write in. First I go there to because really I am trying to get a car and that takes most of my focus now a days. BUT BOY - This time, I have to write in. First I go there to say I am interested in a certified car and to trade my car in. Tim gives me this song and dance that all I have to do is hand over my title so they can do a check on my credit and if the bank doesn't offer me a decent rate - I get my title back. LIE. That is NOT the case. Once you sign the title over and they run it through the bank - if you get approved - then you HAVE to buy a car there. NEXT LIE. The window etching fee is NOT MANDATORY by state law as he told me - it is OPTIONAL - I checked that with DMV. Dealerships always offer it as optional. When I tried to bring my father in to talk about co-signing, he showed up with a four page print out with ALL BAD Reviews on THIS dealership in North Plainfield. I tucked it in my purse and didn't want them to see it. NOW I understand why. Then when I verified that Tim lied to me, and I called back to talk to someone else, he puts me on the phone with GARY... this truly obnoxious antagonistic piece of white trash. This guy was so full of himself and so rude and when I told him, look I can only do so much with what I have - he said "GO DO business somewhere else" - Yes he actually said that. Then they pass me off to VITO this guy who walked with me into the lot to look at cars on my way back in I am telling him I have strict financial parameters to work within and he kept on pushing and pushing - like he could not comprehend... I have a limit. HE needs to do his JOB and actually try to WORK to find a fit. It is not my job to stretch my financial limits to FIT HIS Expectations. It doesn't work that way. Then I told him that if I were to purchase a car there certified or not, that I would have a mechanic come to check it out first. Then he stops walking and gets in my face and says "What are you a conspiracy theorist" I mean REALLY! If I am PAYING for the car - xxxx right I want a mechanic to check it out. EVEN Certified means they don't cover EVERYTHING. Where do they get these sales guys - from the gutter? It was unreal - all of it. It is a darn shame too because Altimas are good cars and normally can pretty much sell themselves - but those sales' guys will chase anybody out the door with that obnoxious unprofessional antagonistic attitude. I call Vito back and tell him instead of financing, I will buy a car in cash with a loan and I tell him - THIS is my number. He is too busy trying to get me to raise that price now - instead of taking 5 minutes to check his inventory to see what is suitable. Then I call him back and give him the inventory numbers of the cars I was interested in and I leave my phone number and the SOB doesn't even have the courtesy to call me back. So I call again and he has no idea what inventory numbers they are and expects me to run around like his secretary trying to find it - when he has the car on his lot right there and he can FIGURE IT out with MINIMAL effort. LAZY and OBNOXIOUS doesn't even BEGIN to describe these guys. Then I go to a local mechanic of mine which is a good 10 miles or more away from the dealership and I am complaining to my mechanic about what a bunch of goons these guys are and he told me "OH yeah - they are famous for that at North Plainfield Nissan" He said they are notorious for very slow poor service, lazy sales people and they basically keep their dealership afloat because they service cars a lot more than they sell cars. Then I go to another Nissan dealership in another county and their fees are actually MUCH lower, there was no xx and unprofessionalism and they don't lie and say you have to pay for window etching too when that is optional. They also told me that NP Nissan tries to tell people they are taking money off the top of the sales price for them - when in reality they just hit with higher fees than most dealerships and if they can trick you into a window etching fee... all the better for them. Then I complain to my neighbor (who had a Nissan I loved) about the North Plainfield Nissan and here we go again - she said she went there once for service and NEVER AGAIN. If North Plainfield Nissan did not service cars from all over - they would undoubtly be out of business because they are not selling cars and a normal rate otherwise and after my experience there - I can see why, quite clearly. They sold me a used car for the wrong price. I realize that when I got home and the contract was signed. Tried to go in the next morning, and the sales guy said there was nothing I could do. And no one wa that when I got home and the contract was signed. Tried to go in the next morning, and the sales guy said there was nothing I could do. And no one was available to help me or someone beyond him that I could talk to because the GM is never around. I gave them a postdated check and signed a form saying that they would cash the check in 1 month, but they cashed it the next day. My account was negative by a lot. I was very upset and went off on the sales guy as well as his "manager". They said they would give me a check back but I would have to write another check, and that this check will not be cashed until the agreed date. This place is garbage. They do not know how to conduct business. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away from TONY. More
I visited the dealer and was quoted a price that was to include everything included out the door, when I called to tell them I wanted to come in to purchase the car, they added in all sorts of fees, tax on include everything included out the door, when I called to tell them I wanted to come in to purchase the car, they added in all sorts of fees, tax on rebate, etching, tire surcharge, DMV fee of $350 when I questioned that charge he changed it to $150.00 just to transfer the plates. Save yourself time and enegy and stay away from this dealer! More
Very pushy and not willing to negotiate the price. As soon I as I arrived I was seated and asked to give out information THEN go out and see their stock. I felt that they were not looking out for my bes soon I as I arrived I was seated and asked to give out information THEN go out and see their stock. I felt that they were not looking out for my best interest. In the end after calculating all the fees and charges the price was significantly higher and it was just out of my budget. They didn't seem too happy with letting me think it over. More

At the 1. That Asian manager (he did not introduce himself from the beginning to the end) is very pushy. He has been yelled at us from the beginning. At the end, he gave us 3 choices, the last one was to go home. He is really unfriendly and unprofessional. So did one of his associates. He seemed lack of interest from the very beginning. I am sure what is wrong with them. Do they really want to sell their car? How could their lousy attitude get them their sales job? 2. The other salesperson working for him was nice, but he played tricks. He asked us to give him a deposit before we could talk with the financing department. We said we could put in like 50. He asked us how much we would put down payment for financing. We said it depended on the rate and maybe 1000. Then he charged our credit card 1000…. It is outrageous. He and his manager insisted on that 1000 dollars deposit, otherwise we will have to leave. We left. I think we made the right choice. The financing department would rip us off. If we did not want to be ripped by the financing department, I won’t be able to get the 1000 dollars back. Never trust them More
Be very careful with this dealership. They will work out a price and tell you that there are no other charges, until you get there. I wish i knew this site existed before i went there and i would have read a price and tell you that there are no other charges, until you get there. I wish i knew this site existed before i went there and i would have read some of the reviews. Oddly enough I found out about this site from the dealership. All was going well until they started sneaking in doc prep fee charges, etc., and the ridiculous etching charge of almost $200. The etching charge is permanently printed on the invoice and the salesman will tell you that it cannot be removed because the cars come already etched. But reading the prior reviews it seems like they do it once you order the car. What a scam when you consider that most police precincts will do it for free as already mentioned. Needless to say i walked out and will be buying somewhere else. Also i would be very weary about the positive comments about this dealership. They know this site exists and i find it hard to believe when they get perfect or almost perfect scores. All i can say is 'Caveat Emptor' (let the buyer beware). More
