North Penn VW responded

Hello Judy, Thank you for your feedback on your recent service visit. We completed airbag diagnostic testing to investigate a malfunction warning you brought the Jetta in for. During the electrical testing of the circuit using specialty diagnostic tooling, we were able to identify an issue within the wheel speed electronic sensor and provided you a repair estimate along with some other maintenance needs. During the technician's multi-point inspection, he did pull the engine air filter to inspect it as a courtesy, found it very dirty and sent you a video of the airbag error as well as the filter and other suggestions. The items other than the wheel speed sensor were declined at that time so he did reinstall the filter in the original condition. The charge reviewed with you for approval does include removing and replacing the filter along with cleaning the airbox and snow flap assembly. I'm glad you were able to resolve this with the help of your son. If you have any other concerns that you wish to speak with me about, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
