This is the third car that I have purchased from Dan in the past 18 months (2 used and now 1 new). I've been mostly happy with the service I've received at this store. The sales experience has been great w the past 18 months (2 used and now 1 new). I've been mostly happy with the service I've received at this store. The sales experience has been great with Dan and that's why I keep asking for him when I go back. None of the 80's style sales pitch, strong-arming or low balling trade value stuff took place, which is very different from the other dealers I went to in the past few weeks while shopping for a new car. I ended up with the car I wanted for the price I wanted. So that sums it up well. I just can't handle the older sales guys and their sales tactics from some of the other dealers, so I find Dan really easy to deal with and kind of refreshing. He did forget to give me one piece of info, which I found later on the internet, but hey, there was a LOT of stuff to go through... My one complaint since I started frequenting this dealer has been the service department. They are all super nice, they know my name and ask about my family and they are all-around great people, but I recently called and asked about a recommended service and they quoted me the most expensive service possible. I did some research and found out that what Mazda REQUIRED at this milestone was hundreds less than what the dealer said I needed. We ended up resolving this and they apologized and I believe it was handled well enough, hence me buying another car there. But now with the new car, there's another issue: I had it in the shop the other day to get the owner personalization done (I had a list of options that I wanted to alter). When the service was done, I asked specifically if there were any items that couldn't be done, or if there were any issues. I was told no, it's all good. Well it's not. 95% of what I asked for is done, but one of the most important (to me) changes I requested was not performed and I was not told. I now have to go back and ask them to do it AGAIN, and chances are I'll have to pay this time. Apparently Mazda USA only pays for one personalization visit during ownership. Long story short: Sales gets a 5, Service a 3-4. I said 4 because they are good people. More
North Penn Mazda ended up being a great place to purchase my first car. The sales staff was particularly helpful with guiding me along; from selecting the car that was right for me, all the way through signi my first car. The sales staff was particularly helpful with guiding me along; from selecting the car that was right for me, all the way through signing. My sales rep, Dan Oestreich, couldn't have been any friendlier. He made the process simple and rewarding. I'm proud to say that with Dan's help I secured my first car, completely under my name and financing. Its a day I won't forget, and one that would not have happened if it wasn't for Dan and North Penn Mazda. More
They were very friendly and not the typical "slick" sales types. My salesperson Mark was very willing to let me test drive as many vehicles as I wanted and helped to discuss and sort through a "slick" sales types. We've been researching a new car for a little while and came across this dealership. From the moment we walked in to the actual purchase - we were handled with the utmost customer service. The purchase f came across this dealership. From the moment we walked in to the actual purchase - we were handled with the utmost customer service. The purchase from start to finish went very smooth and there were no surprises (like you sometimes have with other dealers). Mark went over and beyond to ensure we were treated with respect and we knew we were in the right hands. Also, Mark was very patient since we have plenty of questions. We are very pleased with our sales rep and our experience at North Penn Mazda. We will definitely purchase from this dealership when it comes time to replace our other car. More
Well, I was a customer of another Mazda dealership that I had dealt with for several years. Lets just say I hadnt heard from them since I started my lease with them 2 years ago. A close friend of mine recomm had dealt with for several years. Lets just say I hadnt heard from them since I started my lease with them 2 years ago. A close friend of mine recommended that I speak with North Penn, to see what exactly my options could be. I met Michael. He was so helpful, informative and extremely nice. He let me know what was going on every step of the way. I have never been as happy as I am now with my car and the dealership I am now using!!! I will be coming back from here on out....:) More
I purchased my Mazda mx5 (Miata) from this dealership in 2008. I was in a fender-bender and had my auto body repairs done at this dealership too, this was on August 3rd 2010. When I picked my vehicle up, I 2008. I was in a fender-bender and had my auto body repairs done at this dealership too, this was on August 3rd 2010. When I picked my vehicle up, I handed the employee my credit card for payment. Seven months later...I get a phone call from the dealership. A woman asked me how much did I pay. I opened my "Mazda folder" and read to her "THE FINAL BILL" the sheet that they gave me when I picked my car up. I explained to her that it was stamped "PAID", with the word VISA. She asked what was the amount charged to my card. I explained, I don't remember nor do I have that card anymore. She said if I paid with a credit card, a copy of the charge would be stapled to it. Me, "Nope, nothing stapled." She asked me if I remembered what time did I pick the car up. This is when I truly believed she had to be on crack. She said that I owed $446 for a supplement charge. I said the bill said nothing about a supplement charge and if I owed additional money, why would they stamp the final bill as "paid"? She continued to bager me so I told her I was ending the conversation and I'll call my insurance company. 2 days later I received a threatening letter from the dealership. I know people make mistakes but not once did she say they made a mistake and she was extremely rude!!!! I am taking my business else where. More
HAD A GOOD EXPIERIENCE HERE. I WENT FOR NOTHING SPECIAL BUT AN OIL CHANGE. BUT I KNOW THERE IS A VERY GOOD MECHANIC THERE WHO HAS ALOT OF TRAINING FROM MAZDA ON THE RENESIS ROTARY ENGINE, AS WELL AS MAZDA BUT AN OIL CHANGE. BUT I KNOW THERE IS A VERY GOOD MECHANIC THERE WHO HAS ALOT OF TRAINING FROM MAZDA ON THE RENESIS ROTARY ENGINE, AS WELL AS MAZDA SPEED TRAINING. I WOULD TRUST THEM WITH MY RX-8. AND YES I DO AGREE THAT THE WAITING AREA LOOKS LIKE IT COULD USE SOME MODERNIZATIONS. AT LEAST A GOOD CLEANING. AND THE SHOWROOM AND LOT AREA HAS GOT TO BE MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. BUT I DID NOT BUY THR CAR FROM THERE SO I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT EXPERIENCE IS. I USUALLY GO TO PHILLY FOR MY CARS BECAUSE I SEEM TO GET BETTER DEALS THERE. I DON'T KNOW IF ITS A COST OF LIVING THING OR NOT. More
A mixed bag here. In terms of the sale itself, price A mixed bag here. In terms of the sale itself, price was good right from the start and salesman not pushy. The number they put on my trade was the A mixed bag here. In terms of the sale itself, price was good right from the start and salesman not pushy. The number they put on my trade was the lowest I had received from any dealer I had visited although they came up after a few days of waiting. The after-sale follow-up is the pits. After purchasing I had a question and never received a reply despite leaving numerous messages for the saleman. No post-sale call to see how I like the car, if I have any questions, etc.. I did have it in once for service. Again, a mixed bag. The good news is that appointment was next day and minor problem was rectified quickly. I am glad Mazda's are reliable because the customer waiting area looks like it came right from Virgil & Bubba's Garage and Bait Shop. The adjoining VW shop (same dealership) has a posh lounge with complimentary snacks, internet access, etc. The Mazda lounge has hard plastic chairs, an old coffee pot with powdered creamer, and a Coke machine. If you have to wait, do yourself a favor and go over to the VW customer lounge. Nothing terrible about the experience but nothing remarkable or memorable either. If it is convenient and they have what you want in stock then no harm visiting. At the same time, not worth going out of your way for either. More
Almost a year now, and still no welcome gift that other people have gottan. Called about it, and they informed me that it was coming. 6 months and still no gift. The salesman was nice and offered me a soda people have gottan. Called about it, and they informed me that it was coming. 6 months and still no gift. The salesman was nice and offered me a soda, but forgot to inform me about the college graduate discount program. Received many surverys in the mail from Mazda. This will be the last time I purchase a Mazda, 6 hours away from my house! More
