I am not a fan of typical "car sales" employees having always felt pressured and felt like they took me for a ride. However, this experience was completely different. Ryan was very honest and did not possess any of those typical qualities that I despise. Both Ryan and Patrick were nothing short of amazing to work with. If you don't stop here to purchase a vehicle, you are missing out. I know for sure I will be buying more vehicles from them in the future. More
Say anything to make a sale I think I paid top dollar for the vehicle to start even with impeccable credit. I mentioned how it was dirty on interior during test drive and my sales rep promised me that it would be detailed for me when i take it. This was on Sunday and they said it would be ready Wednesday...clean and delivered. When I got the car, I noticed the same soiled spots in the car from the test drive so I know they didn't touch the interior. They had it for two full days. It was the one thing I was looking forward to seeing to make it feel they were taking care of my wants. Made me believe they're just shysters...say anything to make a sale. I have to say I'm very pleased with the driver who delivered my car. He was very pleasant and helpful. But, to drive 1-1/2 hrs thinking this would be an even fair deal, wasn't worth it. I do like the car itself but the deal not so much. I wouldn't recommend this place. More

Most dealerships have people staring at you from their glass windows, drooling, and ready to pounce! NOT ONE PERSON ENJOYS THAT. When you go to North End Motors, you are treated as a person, not as a piggy bank. they give you the freedom to browse without being stalked and bothered. Once I was ready, I went inside and completed the easiest transaction of my life. If you're looking to purchase a car and make a friend at the same time, Chris Welcome is your man. He makes hours feel like minutes. very accommodating and personable. He tells it how it is and doesn't pressure you into anything you don't want. if you're not happy, he's not happy! That's the truth! That statement is not always applicable for "car sales men," but its true with Chris. Best vehicle buying experience EVER!!!!!!! I felt compelled to write my experience and review of North End Motors. First, I will start by saying that I have been looking for the perfect “new to I felt compelled to write my experience and review of North End Motors. First, I will start by saying that I have been looking for the perfect “new to me” vehicle for about 6 months. I have traveled to many places, BOTH in Rhode Island and deep into Massachusetts….even looking into New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York. Before the end of fall, I had given up. At that time, I was working with a dealership that, on paper, looks amazing to work with. Not so. As I dug deeper I realized I wasn’t the only one. I actually was minutes from signing a car note that I really wasn’t okay with. The worst feeling is being pushed into a vehicle that is OVERPRICED and knowing you are going to make a commitment to something you will be regretting until the loan is paid off. Like I said, I almost signed the papers and instead of stopping at said dealership I drove by and called and told them to forget the whole thing. Needless to say, the finance manager was completely upset and all he had was an attitude the whole time I was there getting my deposit I put down on it back on my card. He left a nasty taste in my mouth that I couldn’t shake and so I decided it best if I stop looking. I was tired of the lies, the pushiness, and the deception. I wanted no part of it. Fast forwarding to this month, I decided to start looking again. I needed to get my feet wet and give it another go. I traveled an hour and a half to a dealership (I use that term very loosely) to test drive a vehicle I had called about the night before. I was completely disappointed. I walked in and talked to the manager and asked him about a Jeep I called ahead about. He told me I had the wrong place and that I had no appointment to schedule a test drive. I said to myself “here we go again”. It took him about 15 minutes to figure out he actually had the vehicle I called ahead about. So I took it for a test drive. It wasn’t bad. It was pretty nice actually until I went and started examining the underbody. It was rustier than a tin bucket in a monsoon! When I returned from my test drive I pointed it out to the manager and said I wasn’t comfortable with all the underneath rusting away. His response “it’s fine…we live in New England what do you expect?” Really? I expect common courtesy. He was upset because I told him the truth??? I expressed my concerns and feelings and that’s how I get treated??? Anyhow, I tried one more vehicle. I drive it off the lot and the steering wheel doesn’t want to turn. I figured, well it’s cold so let’s keep going and maybe it will change. WRONG! It starts getting tighter as I’m turning corners and making a funny noise from the engine. I return back quickly to the building and told the manager. Again, he said it’s the weather and that I’m not going to find something else better. He pulls the Carfax…3 owners, 1 being commercial AND heavy front-end damage. It stated the person hit a guardrail. That was enough for me. DONE. So I left. I’m heading towards the highway and about five minutes down the road I see this gorgeous lot of vehicles. I saw North End Motors on the way up, but paid it no mind. I quickly pulled into the lot. I thought to myself that they have a little bit of everything and maybe this is where I needed to be the whole time. I parked my car and pulled out my phone to search their website. There was a VW Tiguan!!!! And the type I almost bought from the pushy dealership late last year. I had to at least test-drive it since I was already far into Massachusetts. So I walked in to be greeted with a warm smile and genuinely happy gentleman, who I now know as Ryan Benjaminsen. I explained all I wanted to do was test-drive the Tiguan and that I didn’t want to be bothered with the whole sales pitch. I’m not going to lie, I was angry having just come from some shady chop shop. He gave me no problems and said he’d grab the keys and go get the car for me. We went on the test drive and while I was driving I apologized for how upset I was and explained the entire situation. I let him know that I don’t need another car right now, I’m just looking and to not push me into something that I don’t want or will have buyers remorse. We came back from the test drive and I felt like I knew him for forever. Ryan is the kind of person you WOULD want to do business with. We sat down and started talking about the vehicle. I was on the fence about purchasing it and even considered walking away to think about it. Ryan knew how jaded I was yet in a genuinely, empathetic manner asked me what was wrong….what were my concerns and why was I turning away? I told Ryan about some things that I wanted to be fixed. They were possibly minute to them, but were a problem for me. I wrote the list out and he went and ran it by who he needed to, to see if all could be fixed. He came back minutes later and said there was no problem at all. In my mind I couldn’t believe this wasn’t turning into a boxing match. They just said okay to fixing things that I would have had to pull teeth elsewhere to even get them to consider fixing. There was no “it is what it is” attitude. I was shocked to say the least. So, I continued on and stated how I wanted EVERYTHING in writing. Please remember I’m coming from a past of dealing with nasty, pushy salesmen. Ryan turned to me and said we have a paper to fill out. We want to have it in writing for the customer so the customer is at ease. “Jessica, this is meant to be painless” is a line that will forever play in my mind. Ryan and I discussed further, even when I was pulling away. There was no reason for me to pull away. I just figured this was all to good to be true so it must not be. In the end, we took a final walk outside and we talked about the Tiguan. We came back in and I decided to say yes and have him get the paperwork going. Poor Ryan spent so much time with me, but he took it in stride. He had so many hurdles to jump through and had to make all the times I had been wronged right again and he did just that. He completely has my trust and I’m forever grateful for all of the salesmen that gave me a hard time. They pushed me into finding North End Motors AND scoring Ryan as my salesman was a BONUS!!!! It has been 11 years since I bought a vehicle and this was so seamless. I told them to take all the time they needed to prepare her. I would rather have everything done right than done quickly and done wrong. Ryan even called me personally to say he looked through the vehicle and ENSURED they followed through. Which at that point, I considered him like family and I had complete faith in all that he said. Another thing I wanted to point out quickly is that the vehicle was delivered to me an hour and a half away!!!!!!!!! What dealership does that??? None that I’ve ever visited. Right into my driveway and without incident. This review is so long because it had to be. It was a complete 180 degree experience for me. Ryan is a vital part to this company and he is definitely a keeper. I hope he gets all the praise and recognition he deserves. Words cannot even give him enough credit. Ryan is amazing. His personality and laid back, but professionalism is what caught me. There were some points where I was brutally honest with him and he didn’t waiver once. He withstood through all of my anger and hostility. If Ryan can handle me and talk me down to being level headed, he can do it with anyone. Please give Ryan a chance. He is the “go to” man for all my own and my family and friends car buying needs. I entrust him with everything. I know that if something should come up, he will make it right. It’s just who Ryan is. Ryan is vital to North End Motors. He is a keeper so do everything that needs to be done to keep him on your team. THAT is an amazing salesman you have. DO NOT lose him! FYI on my Tiguan….she is so gorgeous and everything and MORE than I expected. When I had a friend of mine who knows cars look at it, he said I definitely was taken care of properly. I have already recommended Ryan to some of my friends who have been in the market. I know he will treat them right and save them the hassle of dealing with shady dealerships. More
