Very nice family-run (not mega-corporate) dealership, with two sons of the founder always on the premises. Service advisors and manager are helpful and friendly, not with the "profit center" feeling like at corporate dealerships. All work has been done properly, with no surprises or unneeded recommendations. When I asked about getting a new battery in our Outback before our first Adirondack winter, they tested it and said we would be fine. Other dealerships might have sold a battery and leveraged our concerns to sell other work. On my first visit to check out the shop, I saw an elderly couple getting into a 4 or 5 year-old Outback with Vermont plates, which had just been driven out of the service area. I asked for their opinion of the shop. Their car had a recurring problem that their Subaru dealer in Vermont had not been able to resolve, and for which they'd been given a very high estimate to finally replace expensive parts. Instead, they decided to bring their car to North Country. One visit, at a fraction of the Vermont estimate, resolved the problem. They said they would continue to make the long drive over from Vermont to have their car serviced at North Country.. I spoke with a mechanic on his break. He has worked at New Country, near Saratoga Springs, and said North Country was a better shop and treated their employees better, too. Most mechanics have been with North Country for many years. The other shop is part of a multi-dealership corporation, where North Country had the one family-owned and family-run dealership. More

To my pleasant sur I ordered a 2017 WRX STI from North Country Subaru on June 6th with the expectation of getting my new car some time late in August. To my pleasant surprise it arrived on June 28th and I was driving it the next day. Wow, that was quick! All the Staff at North Country Subaru went out of their way to make the entire process easy. I am very happy and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Subaru. My new car is a Base STI with a Short Throw Shifter in Dark Gray Metallic and I couldn't be happier. By the way, I have been selling cars for many years and I have very high standards. Thanks North Country. More
