When we were going to finance my young son, all smiles....until he hit us with 19.99 APR. No thanks. ... Once we told them we were going with our own financing through my sons financial institution, his demeanor totally soured. I had to have salesman step in and allow us to take possession of the car once he had the drafting instructions. To add further insult, we have to go through him for the standard paperwork, and didn't even offer a handshake. Not a good look. I fully understand the dealership makes the majority of their money through finance, but have some common courtesy , especially on a customers first major purchase. Again Patrick went over and above to ensure we got the car we have been searching for, for several months. He worded the purchase agreement to where we were comfortable in the contract as it was a unique situation, as the car had not even made it to the used car lot... Common courtesy, something as simple as a handshake, goes a long way and sometimes is the make or break point for some deals. More
In all my years of buying vehicles, this dealership was the worst. First, they force you to buy an exterior and interior warranty. The toxin sprayed on the interior has a heavy odor like urinal cakes. I the worst. First, they force you to buy an exterior and interior warranty. The toxin sprayed on the interior has a heavy odor like urinal cakes. I am quite sure, it is not healthy to breathe in the confined space of a car. The exterior spray is some kind of ceramic wax. Searches on the internet stated it might not do much more than a $50 dollar wax job. However, you will pay almost $1000 dollars for it. A very shady practice, and I am quite sure it is very profitable for the dealership. Second, to buy a used vehicle at NCF you must sign an "as is" disclosure. I know this is an illegal practice. It must be advertised as "as is" to sell as such. Because you are not buying from an individual where it is assumed "as is", but from a professional dealership. Third, a salesman (Hispanic guy did not catch his name) came in to help my very young salesman. He lied to me about financing. He told me 30-45 days interest free financing. Wrong, almost 6% accruing from day one. I guess the 30-45 days should have tipped me off. Which is it, 30 or 45 days? Fourth, the worst experience was with the deceptive and predatory finance guy. He was signing me up for several warranties talking like they are almost free. He only pointed out the monthly payment after I told him I will be paying off the loan in the first week. He stated several times not to pay off the loan in the first week. Let it accrue at least 3 months of interest. What? I am sure the recommendation was just to improve his bonus scenario. I made it abundantly clear, I was about dollars and cents not monthly payments. He knew that. So, the third time I asked about the warranty (thinking it was one bumper to bumper) he said only $300 in interest. I didn't ask for any warranties, however that sounded cheap. Well, when I got home and looked at the contract this he had signed me up for almost $7,500 worth of warranties. I called the GM telling him the finance never disclosed the cost of any of those policies. I was livid. I went back to the dealership that Monday to unwind all those warranties that I never asked about. The finance guy had the nerve to tell me that I should have known these policies were expensive, and he knew what was best for me. It was a very arrogant and rude statement to a new customer. He again, stated not to pay off the loan before I receive the refund check. He knew it would take forever to get my money back. Again, he was just padding his bonus. In 6 weeks, I have not received my almost $7,500 in warranty refunds. It's an interest free loan to Ford! The finance guy was Josh Stamper according to picture on this site. Fifth, I asked the salesman to have the body shop guy work in a couple of places. I know it's used, but in past experiences body shop guys can make spots disappear. Well, you guessed it not here. I don't believe they made any attempt to buff out either of the two spots that I pointed out. In fact, the next day in the sunlight the body work on the vehicle's spots looked like a 12 year had worked on them. Even if it was the previous owner's child (not likely), the dealership could make some half-hearted attempt to buff and smooth out some areas of need to improve the vehicle's finish. No, I can hear the manager saying "just flip it"! Sixth, as I was leaving the salesman handed me the key? Only one key I asked? Dealer tip, make a second key and add it to the advertised price. Oh no not here, hide warranty costs and keys to run off potential returning customers! Zero stars given. More
North Central Ford is the best dealership I have ever dealt with. The staff are very courteous and professional. I ordered a Ford Maverick which I am extremely happy with. The staff did everything possible to make sure our vehicle would be ready for pick up the day it arrived so we could take the truck on a road trip the next day. More
