I highly encourage anyone looking for a used vehicle to look somewhere else at all cost. My experience is too involved to summarize in this review, but I will summarize as best as I can. I contacted salesm look somewhere else at all cost. My experience is too involved to summarize in this review, but I will summarize as best as I can. I contacted salesman Dave McLean on a Saturday inquiring more about a vehicle they had on their lot. I asked him to provide additional photos and answer some questions regarding vehicle quality. For starters, he was limited with his answers including pricing, because the sales manager wasn't there. Imagine, a sales manager off on a Saturday. So, who finalizes a perspective deal from a customer that day?? Secondly, Dave didn't have the internet/email know how to send me the photos and asked me to wait until Monday for someone else to help. Monday comes, Dave sends the photo of an area that had scrapes (which did not show up in the internet photos) that dave and I discussed after asking if there are any integrity issues of significance related to the exterior that I should know about. Now, long story shorter, Dave and I agreed on a price for the vehicle (manager via phone with Dave counter offered..He was not in the office) and I tell him I will be coming up (4 hr drive) to pick it up. Being that everything is in order with this vehicle. My wife and I arrived, and the first thing we noticed is the area where the scraps are. There was more damage just beneath it which was quite significant. It was so close to the area they took the picture of that the camera was obviously deliberately zoomed to omit this area. This area was a part of the negotiations and the Sales manager told Dave it was maybe 100.00 worth of paint work. This was not the case. The second MAJOR concern was testg driving it and the brakes were very poor. Please note this is a certified vehicle. Without elaborating on the other issues, I walked in asked for the manager (Steve Kraus). Steve barely extended his hand as I walked in. I explained all my concerns and expressed the lack of honesty in the sale to someone traveling 4 hrs to purchase. Steve kept giving me excuses, and run of mill salesman doublespeak. However, Steve eventually (finally) acknowledged (indirectly) my statement that the vehicle is likely no longer eligible for certification as he confirmed that he hadn't really looked it over the last 90 Days (when they received it). Now, my wife and I almost brought our kids to ride back in our new vehicle, and I'm thinking how dare they try to sell this vehicle with brakes this unsafe. Especially to someone who will be driving it 4 hrs on the hwy off the lot. Initially, he was arguing that the car and brakes were all up to standard. Steve states well, we know there's cosmetic issues with the car, so it's obviously priced low.The truth is it's not priced low enough and he didn't want to invest any money into it, to at least make it safe. Yet, negotiated falsely a higher number for it. We had initially considered telling him, hey knock off the cost of the questionable areas and I will fix these unmentionables, to simply not leave empty hand. However, Steve was quicker to show me out than listen to indisputable facts. It's funny because when my wife and I arrived and was looking the vehicle over, you could see the entire sales staff peering out of the salesfloor windows at us. They knew that vehicle was well below subpar, but yet tried to move it for a small profit to someone traveling 4 hrs to purchase with cashiers check in hand. UNACCEPTABLE. It even looked like a buy here pay here lot. Apparently, it is just an extension of the new car dealership serving as source for selling trade ins. There's lot more that transpired with this, but as I stated to start too much to add. DO NOT GIVE THESE FOLKS YOUR MONEY. THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT AND CANNOT EARN IT. More
We have purchased our cars from North Brothers for years. Wednesday I was on my way downriver when my warning message came on that my tire was low. I was close to you so I pulled in. Tony immediately took Wednesday I was on my way downriver when my warning message came on that my tire was low. I was close to you so I pulled in. Tony immediately took my car in. After about 30 minutes came and got me, I had a nail in my tire and it was repaired free of charge. He said I would have had a flat before I got downriver. As usual the service and atmosphere was excellent. Thank you. We will never purchase from another dealer. More
These guys (service manager in particular) CHEATED me out of $700 to replace (a lie) a fuel line (I found out they did nothing). I had a small fuel leak. The dishonest service manager indicated I needed a of $700 to replace (a lie) a fuel line (I found out they did nothing). I had a small fuel leak. The dishonest service manager indicated I needed a fuel line replacement. They did nothing. I still have a leak. This was done a few years ago but a reputable repair shop indicated nothing was done. I needed a new fuel pump. So they misdiagnosed the problem and said a repair was done when nothing was done at all. So why the rating? North Bros. management are criminals. These Flem-flam guys should be jailed for mugging me out of $700. I'll bet I am not the only one bilked by these guys. Before the mugging, I leased three cars from them. If this is the way they treat good, paying customers, how do they treat potential customers? More

I purchased a 2011 Escape from North Brothers back in April 2010. In the beginning of April 2011 I brought my Escape into Service for 3 items (Transmission - erratic shifting, steering wheel crank & pas April 2010. In the beginning of April 2011 I brought my Escape into Service for 3 items (Transmission - erratic shifting, steering wheel crank & passenger seat broken) I borrowed my brother's car since I was told that I didn't qualify for a rental vehicle because I didn't buy the extended warranty. The following day the Service Manager called me and told me that all 3 issues were fixed. I picked up the vehicle and noticed that the erratic shifting and steering wheel crank were not fixed. We called the Service Manager back and told him that the 2 issues were still happening. He (Bob) told my husband that the vehicle needs to be driven 20,000 so that the vehicle can get use to my driving. Seriously? I then asked to speak to his Manager. They wanted us to bring the vehicle back up to take on a test drive before they would bring it back to the Service department to get looked at again. Now, the erratic shifting does not happen all the time so it's hard to show someone the problem on the spot, BUT there are hundreds of websites where consumers are complaining about the same issue in the Escapes & Focus. They can't tell me that mine was the first one in the shop for that issue? Also when we went for the test drive the steering wheel cranked. The Manager told us that was a steering stop. He then turned the steering wheel the other way and realized that it didn't crank in that direction. The Manager decided to keep my vehicle over night to look at the issues. I had to really complain to get a rental car because now I am returning this vehicle for issues that should have been resolved the first time. I realized in the morning that my work order did not mention anything about me brining the vehicle in for the transmission problem for the second time in two weeks. I called Bob and asked him to add that to my work order and I would need a new copy when I picked up my vehicle. When I picked the vehicle up he noted that the transmission was cranking. I was furious. Not only are the Managers clueless but they don't even listen to you and what the real issue is. I asked a Service guy where Bob was because he needed to fix the work order and he told me that he was on a drive and that I would need to wait until he returned. Needless to say, I was not waiting and asked for a Manager to fix it. The steering crank was fixed but still today they have never heard of any transmission problems in the Escapes and were going to contact other dealerships to see if they knew anything and get back to me. A month later, I still have not heard from them. I was referred to another dealer and contacted them yesterday about the problem. Not only did they know the exact issue, but they knew the exact parts to order to fix the problem. The actually said once the parts came in that I could drop it off in the morning and pick it up later that day. Weird how one dealership is knowledgeable and the other is clueless, rude and ignorant. Not only will I NEVER take my car in for service or purchase another vehicle from North Brothers, I am DETERMINED to let every customer know how they will be treated if their vehicle ever has an issue. They need a new service staff that is knowledgeable!!! More

Good/fair deal and was pleased he went to bat for me when trading in and purchasing accessories...I wish the dealership would join the 21st century already technology-wise as their website is lacking and ema trading in and purchasing accessories...I wish the dealership would join the 21st century already technology-wise as their website is lacking and emails to several departments go unanswered. If Tom isn't available, Mike Fitzpatrick was another salesman that was helpful while I waited once. More
