Buyer Beware!! I will never purchase another vehicle from North Bakersfield Toyota Scion EVER! They lied about the warranty. I just bought a Toyota Certified 2011 Sequoia SR5 from this store. I paid their asking price- Retail Blue Book ....$34,995. I had exhaustively researched these SUVs on the internet and this was a fair pri this store. I paid their asking price- Retail Blue Book ....$34,995. I had exhaustively researched these SUVs on the internet and this was a fair price for a very nice example of the exact model I wanted with 40,000 miles on the odometer. I was offered High Blue Book for my exceptional 2005 4Runner, sight unseen. Fair 'nuff! So, I drove all the way down to Bakersfield from up near Sacramento to buy it. They had it all ready to go; it presented exactly like a new car. Everything was thoroughly explained and demonstrated to my satisfaction. All paperwork was ready. The dealership sparkles. No headaches, a thoroughly professional, efficient, courteous and enjoyable buying experience. Even a full tank of gas to drive home on. I recommend this dealership to you with no reservations. BUT: Do your homework! No sooner did I get home with the car than my LOCAL dealer called and told me they would sell me a BRAND NEW identically equipped 2013 Sequoia for just 15% more (about $5400) than I had just paid for the 2 year old on with 40,000 miles on it. Guess how I felt! Dumb me...it was MY fault for not even looking at the brand new cars...just myopically searching for "deals" on used cars. I labored under the mistaken impression that brand new cars were WAY too expensive for my budget. And ironically, the dealership down in Bakersfield could not possibly match my local dealers fantastic quote because Toyota's special $3000 cash back incentive that facilitated their LOW price was NOT available down in the Bakersfield region! More

In 1986½ I purchased a brand new Targa top Toyota Supra and the first time in the service department hear in Bakersfield the dealership destroyed the paint on both removable roof panels. I agreed to let them paint the panels and within a year they were fading and didn’t match the balance of the car. Fast forward to now and I finally decided to try to purchase another Toyota. I purchased a Camry two weeks ago and had to take it in for installation of the balance of my balance of my accessories. I dropped off my perfect showroom fresh Camry and when I came back 8 hours later I was given a used looking car with a 6” scratch on the trunk lid. Now they want to paint the trunk lid; here I go again, North Bakersfield Toyota’s service department delivers extremely poor service. Toyota makes a fine vehicle, North Bakersfield Toyota sales staff is helpfull, the sales staff's support is very bad (it took 2 hours to purchase my car for cash) but DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. More
In my 25+ years of buying and/or leasing either a Nissan or Toyota I have never experienced the level of service from any other dealership like I did here. The level of professionalism and customer service or Toyota I have never experienced the level of service from any other dealership like I did here. The level of professionalism and customer service was remarkable. Having been in the customer service business myself (both at a Corporate and store level) I know some qualities cannot be taught. You either have it or you don't. Literally everyone dealt with had that special something. It also appears like they really care about each other (like a family). I suspect that must start at the top level. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!!!!! More
