A Nearly Painless Car Buying Experience Sooooo...after my beloved car was totaled in an accident (no fault of yours truly), I was faced with having to go buy a new car. Not my favorite activ Sooooo...after my beloved car was totaled in an accident (no fault of yours truly), I was faced with having to go buy a new car. Not my favorite activity, what with the haggling and the tears and the giving up of one’s first born boychild, several gallons of blood, and a leg or two. HOWEVER! Fret not, Dear Reader. At North Bakersfield Toyota, this process was far less painful than I’ve found it to be in the past. Mr. Fiancé and I came, we saw, we test drove, and we purchased!! Carlos Mattice, our salesman, was awesome. He kept us entertained while we wrangled a heck of a deal for a heck of a vehicle. Pack a lunch, because you’ll spend quite a bit of time at the dealership wading through paperwork. Though, to Bam Salam, the Manager’s credit, he DID offer us pizza when we were wasting away to nothing from hunger. THAT was a nice touch. But I digress. Listen, I’ve been a customer of North Bakersfield Toyota for a long time, but this was the first time I bought a vehicle there. All in all, I was very pleased with my experience. As the old 80’s commercials used to gleefully exclaim, “OH WHAT A FEELING, TOYOTA!” After we were finished at the dealership, I leapt into the air myself. Not even kidding. The Mister and I were VERY pleased with the treatment we received from Mr. Mattice, Jose Sanchez (the Finance Fella), Bam, and the rest of the crew at North Bakersfield Toyota. Trade in and buy new car This dealer has excellent service and facilities. We Love our new car and feel we got a fair trade in value. Employees were great but there is no way it should take 4-6 hours to go thru this process. A speedy appraisal and best purchase price on a car you picked should be able to be obtained within 2 hours. Then off to finance to finalize. The finance department was excellent and had us on our way quickly. We only use this dealer, as we have had bad experiences with other Toyota dealers. My only reason to not give 5 stars is how long it took to get it done. More
