The repair we paid for did not fully fix the problem. The recommended replacement of the drive unit does not appear to be the issue with the tailgate. When we use the button on the tailgate, the latch re The recommended replacement of the drive unit does not appear to be the issue with the tailgate. When we use the button on the tailgate, the latch releases, but the drive unit does not engage. Pressing the button a second time engages the drive units and the liftgate opens normally. There is no indication of drive unit weakness, and it lifts and closes the liftgate just as it always has. It appears that the problem has been misdiagnosed, and the $2,200 repair is not needed. As a result we are skeptical the dealer can identify why the liftgate latch opens, but the drive unit does not engage. It calls to question whether the replaced module is operating correctly. We’re dissatisfied with the service we’ve received. Please let us know if you will troubleshoot this issue to identify why the drive unit is not engaging. .. More
