Should have been quick & Easy, took too long, bad tactics. I came to this dealership because they said they could get me a 2015 Sonata with Popular Package in grey/silver. We showed up and they started showing I came to this dealership because they said they could get me a 2015 Sonata with Popular Package in grey/silver. We showed up and they started showing us the 2016 base model saying they could get it to be a very close price and APR. They made us wait over 3 hours when we came in and knew exactly what we wanted and ended up with a base model Sonata. They gave us plenty of excuses about the wait. All we wanted was the Sonata at the best price. After waiting so long to finally sign the paperwork, we see that they did not get us the APR we thought we were getting (2-800+ credit scores) the car was more expensive than we were expecting. I feel that through waiting and pressure we agreed to a deal we would not have otherwise agreed to. It is too bad that I feel I cannot trust this dealership to be straightforward, honest and work to get the best deal possible. I feel like they could have made us a long-time customer since Norm Reeves owns many dealerships and we still need another car soon. But through what I felt were a bit underhanded car dealer tactics of delaying us, making us wait, and getting us tired of the experience, we agreed to a deal that was not as good as it should have been. We came in and knew exactly what we wanted, we called in advance and was promised the vehicle. Instead, we paid several thousand more dollars, got a higher rate. I don't why they would risk a long-term relationship for one car deal. It seems dumb when you have a married couple mid 30s professionals that would like to just have a single dealer or dealer chain they can trust and rely on. (As for the vehicle, we do like the vehicle, we wanted a Sonata after doing a lot of our own research, we came here looking to get a deal done on the vehicle, I just don't like how it all happened. We were ready to pay the $18-$19,000 offer we saw advertised at the advertised APR of 1.9. Hard not to feel taken a little bit paying several thousand more, and a higher rate (2.9%).
