My wife and I have been looking for a vehicle for her aging parents. We found one on Autotrader from a "private owner". I sent an email and Jake Weber replied the very next morning. Not wanting to waste his time or ours, I made him an offer and he refused the offer. No problem. But he called me back within a few minutes and told me he spoke to his wife and they accepted our offer. I told him we were on our way, and that traveling from Fresno we would arrive about 4 pm. He said come on down. By about Bakersfield, he sent me this text message: "Hi Nick. So a fellow who looked at the Santa Fe Sport 2 nights ago is offering $13,500 but coming tomorrow. So that's where I'm at until tomorrow-13,500. Local. Hyundai store is advertising a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport for $15,505 plus license plates, 49800 miles. Mine is a 2017 with only 47780 miles". So he got us on the road with a good deal, then switched the price when we were far enough down the road to not want to turn back. It worked! Although he broke our verbal agreement, we were still interested in his vehicle but now had a lack of confidence in his integrity (what else could we expect?). So rather than make a bee-line straight for his vehicle, we had a few back up vehicles to look at on the way, and still made the drive. Around 6:30 pm, we texted him to see if we could still look at it before we made a decision. He said he was still at work. No problem. I asked: "What time will you be available?". This was his response: "Do you want to come down? I drove Santa Fe here today". He gave us the address and told me to text him when we arrived. Where was his place of business? What does he do for work? Guess what? Sales manager for a Hyundai dealer! Never ever mentioned he was a car salesman. Even then, When we couldn't find the address, I called him and said "so what car dealership do you work at?". He literally laughed at us (over Bluetooth so all could hear) and said "why, Norm Reeves Hyundai superstore of course!". Really? When we arrived at 7:40 he informed us he wouldn't be available to show the car until 9pm! When he saw that that made us extremely frustrated, he said it may be sooner, but he's "working with another customer" right now. At this point we had been on the road for almost 8 hours. My father in law has had back surgeries and uses a walker. Mother in law two hip surgeries. We were tired and frustrated. We were walking back to the car frustrated, but since he said it may be sooner, I went back and asked him if he could just give us a time so that we could go look at other vehicles. He said 9pm. When I got frustrated Jake looked at me like I was an idiot and said "what did you expect? I'm at work, I can't show you the car". I asked him, "what was your plan when you accepted my offer and we told you we were on our way to buy your car? We would have arrived between 4-5, were you planning on having us wait until 9 the whole time?". He stumbled on his words, and had no response. I gathered my family, got in the car, but before my wife and father in law could get in, he tried to stop them and said "I don't know why his so upset, I told him it would be just a few minutes." So what is it Jake? Are you having us wait until your shift ends at 9pm? Or will it "be in a few minutes" and are you "curbing"? (Selling you personal vehicle while on the clock at a dealership). Either way, not good. I gathered my wife and father in law, and told them not to listen to another word he says. He lacks integrity and is a liar. Sorry for the long review. But this was by far the strangest car deal I have ever been involved in. We were completely disrespected and the whole situation was demeaning. This was some strange "bait and switch" pricing tactic. We never did look at his Santa Fe. I wouldn't have taken it from him even if he gave it to me for free. More
Great Service! After having a horrible experience at a GMC Buick dealership, we were very happy with the customer service provided while shopping and test driving. Did not feel rushed or pressured like other dealerships and had an overall great experience. Vito Beato was nothing short of helpful with our purchase and in great time! Would definitely recommend this dealership for anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle with excellent customer service. More

He also made the car-buying process easy and answered every question I had. Vito was a pleasure to work with, and made me feel very comfortable. He educated me on the process, and even informed me about what was actually needed, instead of having me spend a lot of money and time in one visit. I highly recommend this dealership. Again, Thank you Vito for all everythings...I Love The Car!!! More
Very Happy with our Hyundai Sonata Vito spent a very hot Sunday afternoon with us. We went from car to car looking for the perfect one for our family. It must have been 100 degrees or Vito spent a very hot Sunday afternoon with us. We went from car to car looking for the perfect one for our family. It must have been 100 degrees or felt like it but Vito kept showing us many options to keep us satisfied. We narrowed it down to two choices and did the test drive on both and without a doubt the Sonata was the most comfortable in every which way. Vito was very friendly and knowledgeable in everything about Hyundai. We will highly recommend Vito to all our friends and family. My wife and I liked the extra special attention given to us from the beginning to the end. Thank you for a great experience with Norm Reeves Hyundai in Cerritos. More
Keep it real! I visited this dealership in hopes of seeing, possibly purchasing, a resale car. Upon arrival I was greeted. I let the guy know what I was looking for I visited this dealership in hopes of seeing, possibly purchasing, a resale car. Upon arrival I was greeted. I let the guy know what I was looking for. He wasn’t familiar so looked it up and off to locate the car. Upon his return, he advised me that it was offsite for a detail and that the price listed online was not accurate either however they would honor it. From my extensive research, the car was priced fairly, not high not low. The following day, I noticed additional photos of this car online so I called back. Spoke to someone else who advised me that the car was not onsite as it had a minor recall. The fact that I felt misled twice in the short 20 minutes that I was there definitely doesn’t give me warm and fuzzies. More

I had not even finished my phone call with the Costco Auto Program representative yet when Michael de Leon, the authorized sales rep from Norm Reeves in Cerritos had already sent me a text message offering his service and at the same time promptly emailed with the detailed information of the Hyundai vehicles we were considering and the breakdown of the prices including applicable discounts and the prices we would be paying. We have to say; we were so impressed with Mike de Leon’s and the Norm Reeves Hyundai dealership transparency. No other dealer representatives from the other vehicle brands sent us that detailed email showing all the figures ahead of time. We met Mike de Leon at the Norm Reeves Hyundai dealership in Cerritos, California, the following day to check out the vehicles we were considering. We found Mike to be very professional, honest and extremely knowledgeable in providing comparative data between the model trims which allowed us to make an informed decision on which model trim to go with. This was our daughter’s first car and her first car buying experience. What was also very impressive was that even though my daughter was a young adult and very naïve with car buying, Mike made my daughter feel valued. He listened to my daughter’s questions and concerns and gave her detailed answers regarding the different vehicles and trims that she was considering. Mike was very patient with my daughter including the test drive with the different vehicles we were looking at. Our experience with the Norm Reeves Hyundai dealership in Cerritos was overwhelmingly positive. This is our third time buying a car through the Costco Auto Program in the last 5 years and we can honestly say this was the most “painless” and hassle-free buying experience. When we decided on which vehicle model and trim to buy, again, Mike de Leon was very transparent with all the information and the costs involved. There were no surprises like hidden mark ups or “sneaky” unnecessary additions tacked on to the sale that we didn’t ask for unlike my experience at another dealer. When we got to the finance office, the experience with finance officer, Kevin Lee, was another extremely positive one. It was a hassle free straight forward process and there was no pressure to purchase additional coverage. Kevin did present other coverage like GAP and the alarm but his way of presenting it was in a very informative way, explaining the pros and cons. This gave us room to make the informed decision that was beneficial to us. Sadly, the previous time we bought a car, our last experience with another dealer’s finance officer left us feeling belittled. During that awful experience, when my husband and I were discussing whether we should purchase the GAP insurance, condescending remarks were made by the finance officer at that other dealership. But with Kevin Lee at Norm Reeves Hyundai, we were was so relieved with our positive and pressure free experience with him. He was straight forward, making sure all the documentation is in place for the financing. He was expeditious but thorough and additionally very entertaining! Kevin should “moonlight” as a comedian coz he left us laughing so hard! This was the best car buying experience we’ve had, and we absolutely recommend Norm Reeves Auto Dealership and kudos to Michael de Leon and Kevin Lee at the Norm Reeves Hyundai Dealership in Cerritos, California!!! We surely will be repeat customers when the time comes, and we will definitely recommend your dealership to others!!!! Our daughter got a great graduation gift and is very happy, excited and satisfied with her brand-new Hyundai Tucson Night 😊 THANK YOU SO MUCH! More
