Disrespectful and Dallying Yesterday, I met with Kelly Denham in hopes of purchasing my first car at Huggins Honda. I had been very honest that I was looking at other dealership Yesterday, I met with Kelly Denham in hopes of purchasing my first car at Huggins Honda. I had been very honest that I was looking at other dealerships, because money is a critical factor for this endeavor and I wanted the best deal I could get. On mentioning this, Kelly moved from discussing "why you should buy from Huggins" to "reasons you shouldn't buy from the competitors" in a very unprofessional manner. After this disheartening introduction, it took him 45 minutes to locate the Civic model I was interested in. During the two-minute test drive, he didn't know basic information about the car that I inquired about, but I learned later at another dealership. Near the end of our meeting, I asked him to appraise my current car, but he said he couldn't because of the time constraints. Instead, he used this time to show me their brand-new building for their dealership. Frankly, this was a waste of my time, because the car is my priority, not a building I will never return to. During this time, he should have considered talking more about the civic and why their offer is the best. At the end of our meeting, he told me, I "shot myself in the foot," by telling him I was looking at other dealers at the beginning of the meeting. This was the nail in the coffin. My issue wasn't with the price offer, but the lack of professionality and class of the salesman. After this, I went to McDavid who matched his offer with an upgrade and a competitive trade-in value. My recommendation would be to take Huggins non-negotiable offer to other dealerships, because it will either be matched or they will have a lower offer. I do not recommend Kelly as a salesman at Huggins Honda. More

Once we decided to purchase the vehicle, Gustavo worked with us on our trade, answered all of our questions, and at no point did we feel pressured or uncomfortable with any part of the experience - he was extremely friendly and personable, and he genuinely had our best interests at heart. Kelly remarked that they appreciated our business especially because they realized that we had driven 40 miles to get there, passing by at least five other Honda dealers on the way. Not only did Huggins provide this superior level of service, they also offered the lowest price in the Metroplex (and believe me, we called them all). It was well worth the trip! More
