Michael Villano is the Service Director, AKA Boss and is horrible. This guy will not give any discounts, but try to re-word and trick you into thinking that he is giving massive discounts. He will try to horrible. This guy will not give any discounts, but try to re-word and trick you into thinking that he is giving massive discounts. He will try to upsell you for anything and everything, including Recalls, which benefits the dealership. He will promise to have the work done on the same day or even the next, but that won't be the case. I called him out to his face and he laughs it off because he has been so used to customers chewing him out and calling him out on his lies. I hope this review helps many others, and hopefully this guy can lose his job over this. Safe to say, I will never be going back here. I can recommend going to literally ANY other NISSAN dealership in the World. It says sooo much, to have a guy like Michael Villano in charge of not only the department, but of all things, Customer Service lol. WOW!!! Show some respect!!! More

Slow and horrible Service Dept Horrible Horrible service dept. On 2/1 I went to go get an oil change and a battery replacement. My Appt was 7:15am...took over an hour and a half to finally see a service advisor who now tells me that their compressor was not working so service will take longer. Only if they could inform the huge line of cars flowing out to the street im sure half would have rescheduled and went with our day instead of waiting just to be told that. Regardless I rescheduled for the following week. This time my appt was 7:00am and i was the 5th car in line. For whatever reason it still took about an hour for an service advisor to come up to my car. Fast forward...it took over 2 hours!! just to do an oil change and a battery replacement when I was the 5th car in line at 7:00am lined up before the service dept opened. To make matters worse on my drive back I heard rattles a few times. I popped the hood open to check and saw that the battery tie down hook was not tight. Then I get a survey which I answered honestly about my experience and soon received an email from their customer service manager to contact her. I called her and left a message 3 times but I have yet to receive a call back. Not sure if the people that work here are lacking common sense or are just plain incompetent and or just don't care. People are nice but that is about it. WARNING! The service center people were very nice and treated me with respect all the time, but that is about all the good I have to say. I too WARNING! The service center people were very nice and treated me with respect all the time, but that is about all the good I have to say. I took my vehicle here to simply get an oxygen/air fuel sensor replaced and a minor recall item taken care of. After they replaced the sensor there was problem after problem that just happened to occur while they were "road testing" my vehicle. First there was ignition coil problems. So, I gave them the go ahead to replace the supposed faulty ignition coil. Carlos, then called me to tell me that the coil was fixed and there was no longer a code appearing for that, but now there was a code indicating the the catalytic converter was bad. I told them that I had just put that catalytic converter in myself 6-9 months ago (simple 5 bolts to detach and put back on) and that it was under warranty so I would take it back and get a new one done myself instead of paying them over a grand to do it. So, I paid the $1,100+ bill and had them bring out the truck. I then proceeded to drive away and the truck is barely driveable. I contacted Nissan and they are adamant that the problem is my brand new after market catalytic converter that is so blocked it is causing cylinders 1, 3, and 5, to misfire because of compression issues. I have done a lot of work on cars and I know that a catalytic converter doesn't get clogged like that driving it for a road test after a simple oxygen sensor change. Unbelievable. They take no responsibility for the state the car is in and blame everything on aftermarket parts even if that makes no sense whatsoever. If you take your car here for repairs, plan on them "finding" a lot of other issues and giving your car back in disrepair if you don't let them do thousands of dollars worth of work on your car. More
CONSUMER WARNINGS FOR NISSAN OF VAN NUYS!!! On September 14th, 2019, I took my Nissan Rogue Sport into your service department for a simple oil change, tire rotation, and filter replacement. Dur On September 14th, 2019, I took my Nissan Rogue Sport into your service department for a simple oil change, tire rotation, and filter replacement. During my service visit, Nissan dealer staff crashed my car on their lot, causing $8,500 worth of damages to my car. Mr. Micheal Villano, Parts & Service Director, promised to repair all the damage that your dealership employees had caused. However, after inspecting the repairs with my brother, a professional mechanic with 15 years of experience, we noticed that numerous repairs were not done. A broken backing plate was not replaced, damaged rotors were not replaced, and body paint was not applied to some damaged areas. Mr. Villano continually claimed that all repairs were done and all damaged parts were replaced with new parts. We went back to inspect the car 3 times, and on the last attempt to retrieve the car, Mr. Villano unreasonably refused to allow for an underbody inspection of the car. The accident caused by Nissan of Van Nuys employee resulted in major serious conditions and damages. The service estimate totals $8,500. My car's value is permanently diminished now. The dealer refuses to provide any compensation for the diminished value. Additionally, the service director tried to defraud me and attempted to pass off shoddy work as satisfactory. I also missed significant time at work because of numerous visits to attempt to retrieve my car. Nissan of Van Nuys does not represent and meet the standard of care/expectation of this global brand. It took a total of 1 month and 2 weeks to finally retrieve my car. Nissan of Van Nuys service director, Mike Villano, has unethical practices that desolated my trust for the company by not thoroughly checking his employee's work, rushing auto-work that delayed quality service, wasting clients' time, and generating more cost for the company itself. Nissan of Van Nuys operates as a liability for Nissan's reputation. It is important that the corporate company investigate this particular branch. There needs to be more training for managers and service employees. My experience and story also represent the impact of Nissan's effort to cut off 1,400 works in the U.S. Workers are rushed and overworked to the point that customers ultimately pay the price. More

My “service engine soon” light came on and I pulled up to the service department within minutes. I was scared of the outcome, as I rely on my car for my 12 hour a day (every day) delivery job to survive. T the service department within minutes. I was scared of the outcome, as I rely on my car for my 12 hour a day (every day) delivery job to survive. The staff in the service department started off friendly enough, but as they were checking my car for damage, they started making fun of me and my car! I couldn’t believe the level of unprofessionalism! I kind of shrugged it off at the time, as I was too focused on worrying about the actual reason for the engine light coming on, but it really bothered me...especially when employee after employee kept it going. Even the shuttle driver was in on it! Anyway, it was $135 just to check the code for the light, which goes toward any work used to correct the issue. Unfortunately, I don’t feel comfortable going back to this dealership for any repairs, so now I’m out $135 for no reason. As for the actual issue with the car, it turns out that I need a new transmission, which is apparently a big problem in a lot of Nissan models. My car only has 75k miles on it and now I need a new one because the price of a new transmission is more than the car is actually worth! Many Nissan models with this transmission have been recalled, but not mine. That hardly seems fair. I will never purchase a Nissan again and I have already started telling everyone I know not to either, including two friends who were actually considering buying this crap. More

Horrible customer service I have a 2015 and 2017 car from these scammers. My 2015 has the service package. They tell me I only need an oil change every 5k miles. My 2017 does n I have a 2015 and 2017 car from these scammers. My 2015 has the service package. They tell me I only need an oil change every 5k miles. My 2017 does not have the service package so of course they tell me I need an oil change every 3k miles. I wonder if that's because I have to pay for that one. On top of that, my 2017 has a radio that intermittently blacks out for 15 mins or so. I took it in several times and they claimed they couldn't duplicate the problem. One guy told me I needed to record the issue. I recorded the issue and they told me they would order a new part which would take 4 to 8 weeks and that they would call me when the part comes in. This was in December. It is now April and every time I have called someone told me they would call me back. I am now here in person and being told that the part was sent back. The service department tells me its the parts department's responsibility to call the customer. The parts department tells me it's the service department's job. Now I'm sitting waiting for the service manager to show up for work. More
