I had a fantastic overall experience buying a car from Nissan of Van Nuys. It was my first time purchasing a vehicle on my own, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. Upon entering the lot my boyfriend and I were promptly greeted by Jonathan, who listened to what I was looking for and showed us several options, and answered our questions along the way. After a nice test drive we also met with Shan and talked about more specifics. We were back and forth a few times but they never pushed us with a hard sell, always helped us feel comfortable, and were very friendly and reasonable during the negotiation process. It wasn't a completely smooth process; there were a few minor hiccups along the way and perhaps it was a communication gap on either side, but I sincerely give them straight 5's because ultimately people are human and we all make mistakes, big and small. There were no major issues regardless, and more importantly, and what I think people should be judged on, is how they went about making things work. I want to give a nod to another associate, Michael, who was also helpful to us at one point during the process, and especially to the GM, Jeremy, who I feel truly went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent customer experience. The best thing I can say is that I am happy with my purchase and with the process, and I can say sincerely that if a friend were looking to purchase a vehicle, I would not just give Nissan of Van Nuys a positive review, but also go out of my way to recommend them. If you want a Nissan, you can only buy from Gary and Sia. Forget other dealers and salespeople! If you want to be taken care of, go to these people. Shan was wonderful as well he worked out the numbers and came up with a price I could work with. he gave me a better deal than the credit union was offering me. I called in and spoke to Peter, he was very professional and answered all my questions on the phone. He set up an appointment for me to come in and test drive an xterra and a rogue. When we got there he alr and answered all my questions on the phone. He set up an appointment for me to come in and test drive an xterra and a rogue. When we got there he already had both vehicles ready for a drive. He gave me tons of info on both and I knew the Rogue was the overall better car for me. My dad was there with me and he was going to do all the negotiating. We met Kris which was the sales manager, he was super friendly and very nice, he gave us an amazing deal on MY new Rogue and explained every detail. I could not believe how easy it was to buy a new car, Peter and Kris were amazing. Even my dad who has purchased many cars in his life said "this was the best buying experience", he was very impressed and that very hard to do with him.
