My mom and I both own Nissan's and always take our vehicles into the Thousand Oaks location for service (even though there is a closer Nissan dealership to where I live). The reason for this is the S vehicles into the Thousand Oaks location for service (even though there is a closer Nissan dealership to where I live). The reason for this is the SUPERIOR service that we receive from John Murth. He is always extremely knowledgeable, courteous and friendly and he makes sure that our vehicles are taken care of properly. Even though he is always busy, he makes sure to take the time to help us and answer any of our questions. It is a pleasure to do business with him and the rest of the staff at Thousand Oaks Nissan! This is the first dealership I've regularly taken my car to for service (didn't foist the chore off on my husband.) It's due to Julie in Service. She makes it so quick, easy, and is so customer-service or to for service (didn't foist the chore off on my husband.) It's due to Julie in Service. She makes it so quick, easy, and is so customer-service oriented. In one instance, the computer in my car blew while I was out of town, and Julie really went the extra mile to assist in getting the car up and working so I could get it back to town and then provided a loaner until the situation was resolved. If more dealerships had people like Julie working there, women wouldn't put off getting their cars serviced. This alone keeps me in a Nissan. More
Nissan of Thousand Oaks has the best service department I have found in the area, and I am willing to drive 30 miles out of my way just because of the personal attention and excellent service that I receive have found in the area, and I am willing to drive 30 miles out of my way just because of the personal attention and excellent service that I receive there. The entire service department is extremely capable, especially Julie Spickerman, the assistant service manager. Julie cuts out the B.S. and will help you identify what you actually need and tell you what you don’t need or what you can wait to do later. Julie earned my trust when she showed me greasy broken parts in her office so I could see the problem first hand. At many dealers the service advisor seems like they have never touched a car, but everyone at T.O. Nissan knows a lot about cars and aren’t afraid to get out in the shop and get you the full story from the mechanics. You always get a full report from the service advisor after they inspect your car instead of just dumping you at the cashier without any feedback, like some dealers do. This dealer wants your repeat business and isn’t interested in milking your wallet dry every time you come in. They regularly go above and beyond and even make an effort to get to know their customers personally. I have been extremely happy with Thousand Oaks Nissan and highly recommend them for service. More
I had called the dealership in an attempt to negotiate a price on a brand new Murano. The salesman was very helpful but in the end he couldn't give me the price I wanted. About fifteen minutes later, though price on a brand new Murano. The salesman was very helpful but in the end he couldn't give me the price I wanted. About fifteen minutes later, though, he called back and said not only was he going to match the price I wanted, he was going to beat it; the car in question was on ad that day for less than my requested price and he didn't realize it. I went down there that night and made the deal. I was pretty confident that I had gotten a good price as it was nearly $1000 less than the discounted price that Nissan corporate had offered us (my wife does work for them). That said, the salesman and finance guy were pleasant and helpful even though I didn't want to buy any protection packages, alarms or warranties. Car dealerships get a bad rap, which is for the most part, earned. I feel like I'm a little more savvy than most car buyers because I used to sell cars, so I recognize what it is that dealership staff can do to extract more of your money from your pocket. However, we never got any sense of being toyed with or lied to. On the contrary they were genuinely happy to have our business. I would definitely visit this dealership again. More
