GREAT CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE! This was the second best car buying experience ever for me only because it took about 1hr and 45 minutes vice the 1 hr on a previous purchase. From start to finish it was very ea buying experience ever for me only because it took about 1hr and 45 minutes vice the 1 hr on a previous purchase. From start to finish it was very easy. I used USAA car buying service, military bank, and there was no need for negotiation even on my trade. I got the truck I wanted and they got a happy customer. Much better service than Coggin Nissan on Atlantic. You cannot beat a lifetime powertrain warranty either. Sam More
Where do I start? Ok,I took my car to the dealership because I had a check engine light on. Phillip greeted me and asked me what was going on with the car. My car was running fine but the light was on. because I had a check engine light on. Phillip greeted me and asked me what was going on with the car. My car was running fine but the light was on. After one hour (I had an appointment), Phillip came to me and said the problem was a catalytic converter. I asked him do I need to take care of this today and he said it will do a lot of damage to the car if I didn't do it right away. I said then lets do it. Phillip said it would cost $932 and I had to pay this before he can order the parts. I paid the $932, I thought the price was a little high but this was a dealership with factory parts. As I was paying the money the woman told me that the total was going to be $1200. I asked why so much and she said that the original price did not include the labor. She said I could pay for just the parts. I went back to Phillip and asked him about the extra cost. His answer to me was they do not include labor when they give an estimate. Before I left the dealership, I decided to get a second opinion. I asked for my money back and I was told there would be some fees and I would only be getting $827 back. At this point I was not happy at all. I went to the service manager and he told me that there was some charges for diagnostic purposes. He pretty much blew me off. I left the dealership with a sour taste in my mouth. I brought my car to a local repair shop and I was told that there was a bulletin out that said, to update the ecm before you replace the converter. At this point I called the owner of the dealership (who was very nice), he told me that the service manager would call me back. When the service manger got back to me I asked him about the update and he told me that they always do the update after the converter was installed. The bulletin in question says that you must update the ecm before the work was done. And most cases the problem will be fixed. I took my car to Coggin at the Avenues and the service manager told me that the update was performed, and my car was fixed. I saved over $1200 because they did what was supposed to be done. The moral of the story is "Stay away from this dealership at all costs". More

Then claimed they never said there was a warranty. Mistakes happen I realize that, but in this case these were relatively minor issues that needed to be resolved. This is dishonest and fraudulent misrepresentation to sell a car. Since I didn’t have the paperwork to back up this misrepresentation I agreed to go ahead and have the service work completed there. The service manager James Campanaro was very courteous and took the matter to the manager and reduced my bill by 50%. However I advise against buying anything at this dealership if you expect quality customer service. More
This could be a very lengthy review - but in a nutshell - we were rushed into buying a used vehicle - that was touted by the salesperson to be the BEST deal ever. He raved about the pristine condition of the vehicle, the phenominal price, the low mileage, the 'CLEAN' carfax ... we got no 'deal' on the price. In fact - we paid $8,000 more that the car was worth. Yes, it looked good on the lot ... but we found out a few weeks later -- it had major body work and repainting done and the damage to the front end was not addressed at all when we were there. Our son-in-law even commented on what he thought was overspray with the salesperson and he stated 'it must have happened at the factory - it's was just an oversight on their part'.... NOPE - it wasn't and St. Augustine knew the car had issues and the carfax was FALSE!! They claimed the car was in EXCELLENT condition...now we have an UPSIDEDOWN loan we can not climb out of and are so strapped financiallly since we can not resell the car for anything near what we paid. We are going to pursue getting this resolved with the owner/manager of the dealership and will certainly post a more positive remark if we get any satisfaction. More
Came to the dealrship for a autotrader listing. when we got there they told me the car was listed incorrectly by mistake. then wanted me to look at a different more expensive car. they were going to giv got there they told me the car was listed incorrectly by mistake. then wanted me to look at a different more expensive car. they were going to give me a deal on a 2010 not knowing that i had edmunds data with me. Their super duper deal was $2000 above the msrp on a 2011 car. Classic car dealer "bait and switch". Watch out for car dealer tricks here. Do your research to do battle with guys like this. The saleman seemed like a good guy, i suspect a deceptive sales manager in the shadows. More
I had been looking at a used Mercury vehicle for about six weeks each time I passed the dealership, and decided to stop in one day to look at the car more closely. I had already checked the web site and k six weeks each time I passed the dealership, and decided to stop in one day to look at the car more closely. I had already checked the web site and knew the price, mileage and other details about the car. When I went by the dealership, I looked the car over closely and decided to take it for a test drive. The salesman was there for a weekend promotion (they had brought in extra people to handle response to their large mailing, he told me) and was very easy to deal with. However, after my test drive, I went in to work the numbers to see if it would be affordable, and he started off $4,000 more than the asking price listed on the web. I was quick to mention this to him, and they did ultimately honor the price as stated on the web. They were efficient in handling the deal, arranging reasonable financing and getting the vehicle delivered to me in a relatively short amount of time, a total of about 2 hours. They did assist me in getting my other vehicle home, along with the one I had purchased. All things considered, they were very courteous and I felt that they handled the sale well. More
Two words "Mike Clarke". Mike met me out front, was very friendly and worked with me throughout the entire purchasing process. I ended up at the Nissan dealership by mistake but walked away front, was very friendly and worked with me throughout the entire purchasing process. I ended up at the Nissan dealership by mistake but walked away very happy with the purchase of a used truck. Customer Service: As I said Mike worked with me throught the entire process, there was no double team or "managers" to speak with. Quality of Work: The service department installed side rails for my truck in about 30 minutes. Friendliness: Mike and the service personnel were very friendly. Others around the dealership were also enjoying themselves and the atmosphere was plesant. Price: I received an excellent deal on a used vehicle. Overall Experience: I recommend this dealership and I will continue to go back for service and just to say hello to some of the staff. More
I have a 2009 Armada LE. This is my 8th and FINAL Nissan. In 15 years of owning only nissans, I have watched their quality go staight to hell. This $55,000 Armada is the LAST nissan for me. nissan of St. In 15 years of owning only nissans, I have watched their quality go staight to hell. This $55,000 Armada is the LAST nissan for me. nissan of St. Augustine has the WORST "service" department I have ever experienced in 30 years of owning cars. I have been in there over 7 times in 18 months. The big problem was their SABOTAGE of a multiple valid warranty claims, which I will explain in a moment. On the 7 occasions I had to use them for a simple oil change, or warranty work, here is what happened. The oil changes were exactly that: an oil change. They filled the washer fluid with - water. They did not check a single thing on the so-called 21 point checklist. They did not check the wiper blades, which were ragged. Ignored a simple cleaning of one crusted battery terminal. On all 3 oil changes and nothing else was checked! But the REAL problems arose with warranty work - TIP: if you need warranty work: RUN from this dealer. They will do everything possible to SABOTAGE your warranty claim, even though it is valid. I had tremendous rust inside and outside of this defective sled, even in the headrest stems. The wheels are heavily pitted. My right side mirror broke because it had a defective mirror frame. This dealership told Nissan it was "typical wear and tear", a flat out LIE. The clown who runs the "service" department told me that I need to >>> wash my car every day to prevent rust, as I live within 1 mile of the beach <<<. I asked him: "should I also wash my cheap chrome headrest stems every day, which are totally corroded??" He gave me a dumb stare, as he knew his comment was purely imbecilic. On one occasion they told me a part was in for repairing my SUV. I made a Saturday appointment. I was there 90 minutes waiting for the work to be done, when they told me : "oh sorry - the part is not here." They wasted my Saturday morning. On the two occasions on which they actually did do warranty work - they failed to reassemble the parts on the seat and a mirror, so they do not work properly. In other words, they also have incompetent techs working on cars there, who fail to check their own work. I have caught them lying tome about exactly what work need to be done The Another occasion, it took over 40 minutes just to get the bill and check out. The last time i was there, they refused to give me the warranty invoice, and said we will mail it to you. That was 6 weeks ago. They never did. When Parker owned this dealership, it had NONE of these problems - now it has gone to hell after being sold. Bottom line, they are INCOMPETENT and the owner could care less about us, the customer. I asked him for a call. The dealer owner does not care about Customers, as he totally ignored me. Consumers - GO ANYWHERE but AVOID nissan on St. Augustine to buy or maintain your vehicle!! And remember - nissan uses cheap metal, cheap leather, and parts in their cars, which they did not do 8 years ago. If you want an import from an Asian country, get a Hyundai or Toyota or Honda, even a Kia. Nissans are now: J-U-N-K. More
I have had service at this dealership in the past and the treatment was outdstanding. I just purchased a new Altima because of the service and also the professional manner in which I was treated by Anthony, treatment was outdstanding. I just purchased a new Altima because of the service and also the professional manner in which I was treated by Anthony, Ace and the entire management team. I was not easy to deal with as I shopped various dealers after I determined the car I wanted. St. Augustine was able to provide the price and car I wanted. We concluded the purchase and delivery in a matter of a couple of hours after reaching mutual agreement. I actually closed the dealereship down on a Saturday night. I highly recommend Anthony and this dealership. More
After I was greeted by one of the sales associates I described what I was looking for and what I wanted to pay. After giving the guy information about what I make a month and telling him I had perfect c described what I was looking for and what I wanted to pay. After giving the guy information about what I make a month and telling him I had perfect credit he told me I would never be able to get a payment below $300-$400 and I would have a high interest rate. He refused to run my credit alone and insisted that my boyfriend must co-sign even though I had a previous car loan in my name alone. Not only did he act as if it was a privledge to be "served" by them, but was unable to find the key to the car I wanted to look at. After 15 minutes my boyfriend and I decided to go and never received an apology from him. The manager Jesus came out as we were about to leave and told us he would find the key in 3 minutes if we would stay, again no apology for any inconvience. We ended up leaving and going to Mike Shad Nissan of Orange Park. We had an awesome experience with everyone there and I was able to get a 2010 Versa Hatchback by myself for $260 a month with interest at 5.84%. Mike Shad Nissan was respectable and listened to me. The St. Augustine Nissan acted like they were doing me a favor for just talking to me. They did not listen to what I wanted and completely refused to run my credit. I have never had a company that is trying to sell something to me refuse to do an important part of the process. I did receive a follow up call from Jesus who told me it was too bad I couldn't take advantage of their lifetime warrenty, which I responded with, well it's too bad you couldn't find the key to the car I wanted to look at.
