Service department customer satisfaction I have had three different cars serviced at Nissan of Rivergate, two of which I purchased new, A 2010 Murano and a 2014 Pathfinder. There are two peop I have had three different cars serviced at Nissan of Rivergate, two of which I purchased new, A 2010 Murano and a 2014 Pathfinder. There are two people there that stand well above any dealership service I have ever dealt with, Glenn Hartley and Betsy Newman. Over the years my wife and I have probably had 7 new vehicles between the two of us and by the same token used several different car dealerships, so it easy to compare them. Honestly there is no comparison. Betsy and Glenn have brought dealership service to a new level. I am happy to write this review because I am grateful for the fine service I have been given by them. My last trip to the service department was a tire problem that caused me much concern. It was resolved well beyond my expectations. This is just one of several instances that have amazed me there. My origanl vist was last summer and the air conditioning had failed. Betsy set up a loaner car and kept me informed throughout the process of my repair. This vist was due to the check engine light coming on and then of course going off the moment I called. I was so relieved to hear Betsy was still their Service Advior, I knew things would go well. There was also a recall issue with a hood latch and I needed an oil change. Again Betsy exceeded my expectations and got me in and out in a very reasonable time. She had the mechanic do a courtesy 90K mile checkup and found no other concerns. With people like Betsy, Nissan of Rivergate will always have my business. The water boy filled his role yet I wonder if having sales and management would keep those individuals more in touch with their partons. JUst a thought!! More
I was using their service department even before they became a Nissan dealer. I have purchased two Sentras and one Xterra because of their Service. One daughter purchased a Versa and my son purchased a became a Nissan dealer. I have purchased two Sentras and one Xterra because of their Service. One daughter purchased a Versa and my son purchased an Xterra all because of their great service. They do what is needed and only what is needed. Doing only what is needed has saved me hundreds of dollars over the years. They are fast, fair, friendly, competent and totally honest. I have over 160,000 miles on my Xterra and with their help expect to get more than 300,00 on it. Anyone can sell a car, but you have to know what you are doing to fix one, They know what they are doing. However one day when I came in late to pick up my vehicle, they only had one free doughnut left in the waiting room. But the coffee was fresh. I am 75 years old and they are the best service people I have encountered. More
I have never been more impressed with a service center. I purchased a 2011 Nissan at a small used lot. I knew it needed some body work at the time, and I researched dealerships in which to bring my truck for purchased a 2011 Nissan at a small used lot. I knew it needed some body work at the time, and I researched dealerships in which to bring my truck for repair. I ended up selecting Nissan of Rivergate. I brought my truck in for a quote on the repair. I was impressed by their online appointment system, as well as the easy arrival and check-in. John Paul Corey was “assigned” to my appointment, and he was friendly, thorough, as well as giving me a full point inspection free of charge, letting me know what was needed and where my truck stood for ongoing maintenance. I returned a second time to get a brake system flush, as recommended, and John Paul again was a pleasure to work with. I returned most recently a third time to complete the body/frame repair I was quoted on my initial visit. Unfortunately, a week prior – when my part arrived for repair, it was not checked. I was waiting – given a 2-3 hour estimate, and John Paul came to tell me that the part arrived bent. I was frustrated, but he was able to make suggestions for re-bending and we went ahead and used the part. He offered me a loaner car for free, it would take longer than he said because of this error; now I wasn’t inconvenienced for my day. John Paul contacted me a little later and said that – again, unfortunately – the parts team had misquoted him the part itself, told him the wrong information, and the part I needed/purchased wasn’t the broken part – but another part, 3x as expensive, and 3x the amount of labor. At this point – my truck sitting on the lift in pieces – I believe any other dealer/serviceman I had worked with in the past would have made me pay for both the extra parts and labor – even though it wasn’t my fault. John Paul went to bat for me, to the management, and made sure I wasn’t given the short end of the stick, and made sure that he kept his word and his quote to me. I am truly amazed at his level of customer service. I have never experienced this level of commitment from a dealer service center before. This has solidified my commitment to using Rivergate Nissan for ALL of my future work and general maintenance on my truck, as well as make Rivergate Nissan the first stop in the coming months for my wife’s new vehicle. More
I love rivergate nissan. They always take care of my car needs and are very customer focused. I forgot to get my oil changed and I'm headed out of town in the morning for the holidays so garret daniel car needs and are very customer focused. The best dealer service that we have ever experienced has been at Rivergate Nissan. My wife and I have been taking our Nissans to Rivergate for 4 years. Glenn Hartley, Garret Daniel, and Betsy Newman have always provided professional, top notch advice, without a high pressure sales tactic which has always been my experience at any dealer. Their recent assistance with a CVT warranty issue was superb and is indicative of their commitment to Customer Service. My wife takes her Nissan to Rivergate for regular service without feeling she will be take advantage of. Whether a Lube/Oil/Filter service, or repair, we both trust the Rivergate Nissan Service Department. More
I took my frontier (which I bought from this dealership) in for it's regular service. Garrett came out and told me my battery was bad as the top blew open and was spitting acid. We brought in our Rogue for a routine tire rotation and oil change. Everything was normal and fine until our service advisor came into the waiting room to tell us about a problem. Glenn walked us out to oil change. Everything was normal and fine until our service advisor came into the waiting room to tell us about a problem. Glenn walked us out to where our car was in the service area. The problem: the wheel lock key was not in the car and they needed to know if we could find out. We couldn't; in fact one never came with our car. The spare set was, unfortunately, not available at the time and there was no way to remove our tires to do the rotation OR fix the tire that they found a nail in. Glenn did not want us to drive a car with a nail in the tire. He told us he would order a wheel lock key for us to keep in the car and get us a rental car for the weekend so we didn't have to worry about being stranded with a flat. We were allowed to chose any rental from the fleet at no cost to us. When my husband returned the rental that Monday, he discovered that the entire service had been comped because of the situation. We greatly appreciated that this service department acknowledged a problem and immediately came up with a solution. The customer service was so good that we won't take our Rogue to any other dealership in town now for service. This service department puts the satisfaction of the customer before anything else. More
