I won't tell you not to buy a car here, but be wary if you do. The price listed is not anywhere near what you should pay, you should get everything in writing, and you should ask for confirmation of anyt you do. The price listed is not anywhere near what you should pay, you should get everything in writing, and you should ask for confirmation of anything they tell you. I worked with at least 4 different people who all told me lies or half truths, and tried to bait and switch me. I ended up buying a car that is fine for what I needed/wanted, but walked away feeling angry, duped, and stressed on what should have been a happy and exciting day. And now, two days later when there is an issue with the car, there is no one there answering their phone. 1. I emailed a few days before I wanted to test drive a specific car that was listed online, both on their website and on cargurus.com. Their internet sales manager (William Jackson) emailed me back with information about a car that was the same model and year, but had 10,000 more miles and was $1000 more expensive. Strange, I thought, but I'd go in and ask to see the other one, which even today is still on their website. When I arrived, William handed me off to Danny, who seemed very nice and immediately started talking to me about the original car I had wanted. I negotiated a lower price because, as he said they "wanted to earn my business." I got that offer in writing, but he told me the car was at another location. That's when the strong arm started. He told me that to even arrange a test drive, they had to start the purchasing process- running my credit, etc. Again I thought, strange, but I'm not signing anything so no big deal. I had driven this model several times before, so the test drive was really about seeing this specific car up close. I knew if it matched what they had listed about it online, I would probably buy it. He told me it would take about 30 minutes to get the car over from Mechanicsville. I had other cars to go test drive, so he said he'd call me when it was ready. 2. Two hours later, he finally called, and said there was "traffic" in Mechanicsville that had held up the car. OK, whatever, I headed back and we stopped for lunch on the way. So I'm pulling into the dealership an hour after he called me and his boss calls me to tell me there's been a mistake: the car they had given me an offer on had already been sold. Now, either way this is fishy. Either their internal procedures are messed up and they don't know their own inventory, indicating poor overall management, or, they outright lied and the car was never available- a more likely story given the other things that happened. Either way, not somewhere I should be doing business. I should have walked away. 3. I didn't. Danny's boss, Ron Flores, said they had an identical car available. Lo and behold, it was the car William had emailed me about- 10,000 more miles and $1000 more. Absolutely not. Ron even said "I know this looks like a bait and switch, and that's not how we do business." I argued with them for over an hour about the fact that legally, when a merchant provides you with a written offer and then breaches that offer in any way (here, the original item wasn't available) the merchant has to make up the difference. After Ron leaving the room at least three separate times to "speak to a manager"- which managers I never saw or was allowed to talk to, and after I spotted him talking and laughing with the sale people for 10 minutes at a time while we waited for him- he finally said that someone told him I was right, and they did have an obligation to make good on the offer. Again, I should have walked away. 4. I test drove the car, it was fine, and was what I was expecting for a 2010 Nissan Sentra. Nothing fancy, but safe, comfortable, and priced at the original price I bargained for. OK, I'll take it. 5. Financing. Earlier in the day, someone from financing told me I would be getting a rate of 3.25%. When I went to sign the papers, the rate was 3.5%. I hadn't gotten the earlier offer in writing, so I had no real leverage when I complained about that. By this time I had spent over 4 hours with these people and was tired and worn down. 6. Somewhere on the drive home, the back half of the passenger side mirror fell off. This is a certified preowned vehicle that they claim went through a 150+ point inspection. That shouldn't happen. The next day, when I had a passenger for the first time, she tried to lower the sun visor and the cover for the mirror came tumbling down on her, the plastic hinge totally broken off as if someone had broken it and then just put the visor back up to hold it on. I called to ask about these issues and no one was there to address them. 7. Today, I go back to their website, and look at that- the car I bought is gone, but that one I originally wanted is still listed. And it is NOT in fact identical to the one I bought. Now, I don't necessarily care about the features it has that my car lacks (power mirrors and a remote trunk entry, etc). I didn't check for those on this car. What I DO care about is that they told me the cars were identical, and they weren't, which means now four separate people have lied to me. Bottom line, I got a good price but was lied to and misled in a coordinated way, I will never buy from them again, and I will warn others to think twice before they do. More
I felt that the car salesman didn't spend a lot of time showing us the features of the car we bought. We bought the car because I did the research. I would of like to see more time spent with the costume showing us the features of the car we bought. We bought the car because I did the research. I would of like to see more time spent with the costumer and less time on the phone with other deals. Although this was a used car from another dealership it would of been nice to been shown how to use the features in it once it arrived at dealership. If it wasn't for the deal we would not of bought from here. More
My husband and I were interested in the 2013 Pathfinder. The young salesman that took us on our original test drive was very nice, but not very knowledgable about the car. We narrowed our search to the Pat The young salesman that took us on our original test drive was very nice, but not very knowledgable about the car. We narrowed our search to the Pathfinder and Toyota Highlander, so I returned for another drive and to discuss pricing - knowing it was New Year's and they would want to sell a few more cars on the last day of the month AND year... During the second visit, I worked with DARYL JOHNSON. Daryl was not only extremely friendly and professional, but also very knowledgable about the vehicle. He took the time to throughly go through the Pathfinder's features, both inside and out, including opening the hood to point out safety and mechanical improvements with the 2013 re-design. (Note that my husband was not with me this time, so I was impressed that he did not assume or treat me like I was a stupid woman that would care less.) Unlike other salesman, Daryl also did not push about price point or trade in, and he focused on the vehicle and what I wanted. Simply put - Daryl was not your stereotypical car salesman; he was not pushy, and he appeared to genuinely care about the customer. I let Daryl know that I was not into haggling, and I simply wanted to know the best price Sheehy was willing to offer me on the vehicle. He brought over another gentleman to discuss pricing, and I was honestly a bit offended about his first offer - sticker price less the $500 discount advertised on their website for financing through Nissan. I let them know that it was not acceptable, and the next price offered was significantly lower. (This is the reason I rated the price "ok"; I don't play those games). My husband and I ultimately bought a Highlander Limited, due in part to Toyota's 0% financing offer, 2 years of maintenance, and a few other features that he preferred. That being said, I genuinely felt bad about not being able to give Daryl the sale. He is the type of salesman you WANT to work with, and the primary reason I would go back to Sheehy Nissan when we're ready to buy our next car. Our initial test drive experience and pricing discussions brought my overall experience down to a "4/Good", but I would give Daryl higher than a "5/Great" if I could. More
We went to Sheehy Nissan to buy a used car. We had a pleasant, but young saleman. He kept telling us how Sheehy was so different because they really cared about customer and that they didn't haggle on p pleasant, but young saleman. He kept telling us how Sheehy was so different because they really cared about customer and that they didn't haggle on price, that we would get the lowest price they could give us. We were attempting to trade in an almost new car that was too small for a bigger SUV type vehicle. We found a car that we like and were interested in buying.I felt the price on the car was good however, they totally "lowballed" us on the trade in. So while I was negotiating the trade in, another saleman took the car we wanted to buy on a test drive and sold it to that couple. They did not even give us a chance to negotiate. Our salesman or the manager did not even try to stop it. Don't let the "we are different" talk pursuade you. They are just like all the others. They don't care about customers, they just care about making a deal and selling cars. More

My husband and I walked on to the lot of Sheehy Nissan around 6:45 pm on a Saturday night to look at used cars. We had the pleasure of being greeted by Daryl on the lot. We told him what we were looking f around 6:45 pm on a Saturday night to look at used cars. We had the pleasure of being greeted by Daryl on the lot. We told him what we were looking for (we presented challenges based on negative equity, a very specific price point, etc.) and he had us test driving a vehicle within 15 minutes. Once inside, we began to run numbers and speak negotiations to help the sale along. Daryl Johnson and the New Car Sales Manager, Ryan Pulley, were both quite wonderful to work with. They were upfront, professional, and eager to please. Furthermore, we didn't find out until almost 8:30 p.m. that the dealership had closed at 7 p.m. Not once did we ever feel rushed or as if we were inconveniencing anyone by being there so late. That really meant a great deal to us because we know how it feels to be kept away from family, friends, or plans because of work demands. This is, by far, the best, easiest, and most pleasant experience we've had purchasing a car, not only in how great we were treated, but also the fact that we got a stellar deal on our "nused" vehicle and accompanying warranty. We literally walked in, told Daryl and Ryan what our needs were in the way of a "family-sized" car, color, features, the type of warranty we wanted, and what we wanted our monthly payment to be and WE WALKED OUT WITH EVERY SINGLE THING WE ASKED FOR. How many people can say that about a car buying experience? We highly recommend Sheehy Nissan! More

He was very knowledgeable of the vehicles and was extremely helpful. I had a bad experience with Victory Nissan of Richmond which caused me to have a really high car payment with my Altima. I relayed this information to Daryl and he immediately began thinking of ways to help me out. In the end I came out with a better & newer car for the same price. I would recommend this dealership and salesman to anyone looking for a new car! More
