Sir, allow us to explain how a lease return works. You can turn in a lease to any Nissan dealership in the United States of America. The inspection and subsequent bill has absolutely nothing to do with Nissan of Richmond. We are the broker between you and Nissan North America. Our dealership didn't inspect your lease turn in. All we do is notify Nissan North America electronically that the vehicle was turned in and to come pick it up. Your lease turn in was inspected in Franklin, Tennessee by Nissan North America. It is advised that the customer gets an inspection done by a certified inspector prior to the turn in to protect themselves against things like this occurring. That is clearly explained in the paperwork you received from Nissan North America when you leased the car. Nissan of Richmond didn't charge you for a scratch, Nissan North America did.
