Because the clutch pedal stop had disintegrated, the pedal moved further than designed, and the small plug that depresses the clutch safety switch broke. They had replaced the plug so I could start my truck but, when i stuck my head under the dash a few weeks later, I discovered that no pedal stop had been installed. I went back and tried to explain the issue to Phil Berrier, but he kept interrupting me mid-sentence, and continued to get louder and louder to the point where I had to shout to be heard over his interruptions. I had even affixed a piece of bright orange tape to show him the hole in the frame where the pedal stop was supposed to go, but he kept insisting that nothing was missing, and that the clutch safety switch was installed and intact. We migrated back into the lobby, where the verbal wrestling match went on for at least another five minutes or so. The Service Department staff at the counter looked embarrassed. Finally, I shouted, "Go over to the Parts Department and have them show you that there's another part that belongs there!" He went away for a couple minutes, then told Kristie at the counter that they had one in stock, and to write it up. He walked out and snapped the part into place, then walked back in with the nastiest expression on his face, avoiding eye contact, Not a word was said as he slinked away. I wrote an elaborate description of my experience to Shawn Hudson, General Manager several days ago. I told him that I would continue coming into Nissan of Melbourne for as long as repairs were covered by the warranty, but that I'd never spend a penny at their dealership. I haven't heard a peep from him... More
Hard to Please client and I am very Happy. I have spent my entire career in the Auto Business, from mounting and balancing tires at the age of 15 to being a General Manager I have spent my entire career in the Auto Business, from mounting and balancing tires at the age of 15 to being a General Manager of a dealership at the age of 28. I have played all rolls and am still in the business. I love it. I NEVER LET ANYONE work on my truck or cars. Well that all changed yesterday, my Titan needed the trans serviced and I didn't have the special tools or the time. When I called Kristie Kaplan did a great job of getting me right in and got me a price much better than their competition (Erdman Nissan) who I was by the way very unimpressed with earlier when inquiring on a quote for the service. We dropped the truck off, I explained the trans was shifting early out of 1st, 2nd and 3rd causing a "bogging down dragging" feeling. Few hours later she called to tell me the technician had reprogrammed the TCM and ECM while servicing the transmission. All I can say is WOW, it shifts perfectly now. To think I was going to trade this truck for a RAM or F-150 just because of that issue and they took care of it at no extra charge to me. Real professionals here! It's almost impossible to find good people in this business, it was nice seeing a service department that wasn't out to lie and unnecessarily up-sell pointless services. I'd highly recommend calling Kristie Kaplan next time your Nissan needs service work. More

The service technician did not place all the connectors back into the car to mount down the air intake manifold (minor). They also left a bendable magnetic bolt/plug extractor in the engine compartment that wrapped up in the internals, took out the radiator and subjected the components in the compartment to thermals well out of specification (major). They initially claimed it was not their tool, but less than 24h later they admitted it was and their fault. Their offer was to just replace the radiator fan and motor. No warranty, no guarantees, nothing on all the other components under the hood that potentially been negatively impacted by the heat or a bendable metal rod bouncing around under the hood. Everything else is fine, trust us. Sorry that trust went out the window already. Am currently still talking with them in good faith but after lackluster progress in them providing an acceptable resolution am exploring other avenues if the situation warrants it. At this point, they just seem to want to get the vehicle good enough to drive far enough for it to make it off the lot and wash their hands of this. Something goes wrong 5 miles down the road, I am on the hook it seems. Updates to the above review as of May 8th: Along with the replacement of the radiator fan and motor, they also needed to replace the electrical junction box to the radiator. So now along with very potential heat related reduction of the components under the hood, there is also now the chance of electrical issues down the road. Requested a limited two year warranty of the engine bay from the shop and was denied. Also requested $550 off the $1800 initial service to cover work loss due to having the car in the shop for almost a week awaiting parts, having to go to the shop several times and time with legal council. The $550 was also denied. The request of the $550 was due to them telling me that "this will not cost me anything". Eric Bush should of also said "asterisk" after that statement because it was just more bull. The above requests were after several times where I caught them lying (changing story) and not addressing all the issues. For example, after waiting the week for the parts to come in for the radiator, was called and told the car was ready. When I got there to pick up the vehicle, I look over the list of things they did and saw no oil change. When asked about it, got "Oh you want the oil changed too?". Dude, because of your tool taking out the radiator, the engine got super heated and you did not check or change the oil?! The oil was practically sludge when I checked it in front of them. They actually wrote on the new repair invoice that the oil was changed "as a courtesy for customer". Sorry, it was not a "courtesy" to catch them halfhearted repair of the damage they caused. Long story short, do not get repairs done here unless you also budget a lawyer and financial loss into the repair quote if they screw up. More

I will start from the beginning of my experience. 1 week ago I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and a new battery. After all was said in done during the visit they pulled the vehicle out and I left the shop while unknowingly driving with the undercarriage area of my vehicle not being secured or fastened properly. The next morning while walking to my vehicle I observed the unfastened piece underneath dangling precariously. Making a trip to Melbourne is inconvenient and is far out of the way from me so I planned to return the vehicle to the shop to secure and tighten the piece properly during my next trip to Melbourne. I called the service department and spoke with an associate named Joshua who explained that they were open until 7pm. I told him my situation and told him at 5:45 that I was already enroute down to Melbourne and I was 45minutes away. He then said sorry all of the techs leave at 6:30(contradicts the 7pm time he said) and I would have to bring the vehicle in the next day. He was not in the least concerned about my situation as a customer nor the mistake that his department made. He was short and flat and did not even apologize for the inconvenience that the poor quality autoshop caused. So in conclusion steer away from their service department and for me this extends beyond and to their whole dealership. Ive purchased my last 2 vehicles from them, however, I will no longer be doing business with them due to this poor customer service experience. More

She was to contact me today 07/04/2017 but have not heard back nothing new for Nissan if you don't call you could grow old waiting. They say just keep enjoying the car you have. My car was supposedly the New 2006 Altima Model. I have later found out that later they changed the Transmissions in their next release of the same Model. Maybe that they needed to get the new 2006 Model out it was put on a 2005 chassis and Motor and called it the New 2006 Model which would be a fraud. The Rental they gave me is sub standard compared to my car. It's a 2016 Versa Crank down windows have to use a key to get in no key fob. Just a very uncomfortable car very hard for my elderly Mother to get in and out of. I am so disappointed with Nissan of Melbourne that they treat their loyal customers like this. This time I'm not sorry about my post. You need to do better for the prices you charge just for regular maintenance. More

I went in for the last time today, for an oil change. Met by a. Ice lady and told her I needed an oil change. She asks a mechanic how long , he say 2 1/2 hours. I said that was no good and than I am told an hour. That was fine. I walk in and the service mgr Phil, is speaking loudly tell him at least an hour and a half. He was rude. Go in to speak to mgr Greg Roberts. Well when I told him I was going to write to Nissan Corporate he lost his mind. This dealership used to be on point. It has fallen apart. I used to get All my service done here. However , due to the disarray I now use Sears. Your loss. I just purchased four new tires week from Sears. You are treated with respect . Today, I was going to get my oil changed and consider buying anew Nissan. Never again. More
