I went on to file claim with Nissan customer service USA. They started the claim process, during which, I find out that Nissan USA customer service contacts the dealership for recommendations!! What input had they offered nissan? All maintenance had been performed to date, with all records in the glove compartment. It seemed a concerted effort on both to deny a satisfactory conclusion, which would have been at the least partial compensation for defective transmissions, which had been documented across the US. Because the clutch pedal stop had disintegrated, the pedal moved further than designed, and the small plug that depresses the clutch safety switch broke. They had replaced the plug so I could start my truck but, when i stuck my head under the dash a few weeks later, I discovered that no pedal stop had been installed. I went back and tried to explain the issue to Phil Berrier, but he kept interrupting me mid-sentence, and continued to get louder and louder to the point where I had to shout to be heard over his interruptions. I had even affixed a piece of bright orange tape to show him the hole in the frame where the pedal stop was supposed to go, but he kept insisting that nothing was missing, and that the clutch safety switch was installed and intact. We migrated back into the lobby, where the verbal wrestling match went on for at least another five minutes or so. The Service Department staff at the counter looked embarrassed. Finally, I shouted, "Go over to the Parts Department and have them show you that there's another part that belongs there!" He went away for a couple minutes, then told Kristie at the counter that they had one in stock, and to write it up. He walked out and snapped the part into place, then walked back in with the nastiest expression on his face, avoiding eye contact, Not a word was said as he slinked away. I wrote an elaborate description of my experience to Shawn Hudson, General Manager several days ago. I told him that I would continue coming into Nissan of Melbourne for as long as repairs were covered by the warranty, but that I'd never spend a penny at their dealership. I haven't heard a peep from him... More
Watch out for John Bedar the Sales Mgr. I recently visited Nissan of Melbourne to get a copy of the window sticker for a truck I purchased at Nissan of Melbourne. The Truck was a total loss I recently visited Nissan of Melbourne to get a copy of the window sticker for a truck I purchased at Nissan of Melbourne. The Truck was a total loss and I needed a copy of the window sticker for my Insurance Company. A Salesman named Bryce helped me get the window sticker copy. Bryce asked me what I planned to do for a replacement vehicle. I told him that I planned to buy a used SUV and that I had a $25,000 max budget. He told me about their used inventory (none of which appealed to me) and then come in John Bedar the Sales Manager. He quotes "I can sell you a new Nissan Murano S for $25,900. He has Bryce take me outside to show me the two S models on the lot. They had a MSRP of $33,500 and had a Dealer Addendum that made them $35,000. I'm thinking this is a bit above what I want to spend, but wow, what a discount. I give John Bedar my information and I go outside to check out the two Murano's. A bit later John Bedar comes outside and says "I spoke a bit too soon, I submitted your information to Nissan and they came back at $27,400. I should have walked then, but continued to think, this is a good discount. Soon I am called to the Finance Office, here I am presented with 20+ forms that I am rushed through. I notice that the sales price on the finance form doesn't seem correct. The Finance person uses a calculator to determine that John Bedar was NOT selling me that Murano S for $27400 at all.He added the $1499 Dealer Addendum to the selling price. I told the Finance Manager to cancel the deal, that I didn't want the car. She gets John Bedar into the Finance Office and voice are raised between us. He shouts "take $500 off of the deal" and he walks out if the office. Stupidly, I bought the car. John Bedar, when you quote a selling price of a vehicle, it is just that, the price the Dealership will sell a person a car for. You already have a $800 dealer fee. Take note folks, Nissan of Melbourne WILL charge you a $1499 Dealer Addendum and a $800 Dealer Fee above and beyond the selling price of the vehicle. Pretty sweet gig huh? I encourage anyone who purchased a car at this Dealership to take a look at your paperwork and check to see if the selling price you were QUOTED is the selling price listed on the contract. This was my second purchase from Nissan of Melbourne. I notice that they have a constant turnover of sales, sales management and service staff. The one shining star in the entire organization id Phil the Service Manager. More
Where do I begin. Ha this place is a joke there is no level of communication or service between sales and management. I worked with Gerald he gave me the run around and was not straight forward with me a level of communication or service between sales and management. I worked with Gerald he gave me the run around and was not straight forward with me at all. Once I spoke to the manager and voiced my concern he then forwarded me over to Denva who gave me a ridiculous deal. This place will lie and furthermore have you running in circles. Don’t waste your time here especially if it is your first vehicle. I went to another dealership walked out with a 2020 Acura MDX. Had no issues the sales guy at Acura was so attentive . Understood my situation and did his job accordingly. The staff alone was amazing even their finance team. Nissan you guys have a lot of work to do. Customer service needs a lot of work. Despite the person situation if your hungry for a sale you are going to do what you gotta do to get the sale. The people at this dealership are just plain lazy . Save your time and money do not buy your vehicle at this location. More
Hard to Please client and I am very Happy. I have spent my entire career in the Auto Business, from mounting and balancing tires at the age of 15 to being a General Manager I have spent my entire career in the Auto Business, from mounting and balancing tires at the age of 15 to being a General Manager of a dealership at the age of 28. I have played all rolls and am still in the business. I love it. I NEVER LET ANYONE work on my truck or cars. Well that all changed yesterday, my Titan needed the trans serviced and I didn't have the special tools or the time. When I called Kristie Kaplan did a great job of getting me right in and got me a price much better than their competition (Erdman Nissan) who I was by the way very unimpressed with earlier when inquiring on a quote for the service. We dropped the truck off, I explained the trans was shifting early out of 1st, 2nd and 3rd causing a "bogging down dragging" feeling. Few hours later she called to tell me the technician had reprogrammed the TCM and ECM while servicing the transmission. All I can say is WOW, it shifts perfectly now. To think I was going to trade this truck for a RAM or F-150 just because of that issue and they took care of it at no extra charge to me. Real professionals here! It's almost impossible to find good people in this business, it was nice seeing a service department that wasn't out to lie and unnecessarily up-sell pointless services. I'd highly recommend calling Kristie Kaplan next time your Nissan needs service work. More

I generally DO NOT LIKE to chat with sales people about anything. But, I got the perfect sales person, Max. He's very pleasant to chat with, even off topic. Turns out, we both served in the Navy; same time frame; same port. Max does listen to your needs and works with you. Laurie, the Sales manager, gave us VIP treatment. Truthfully, I'm not a VIP. She's very sweet. MK, who closed our deal threw in a nice bonus offer at the end. We appreciate that. And the CAR! (used) meticulously detailed. Indistinguishable from new. I love this car! I love this deal! I love this whole team! More

The entire process was painless, our salesman (Rick Musick) was very helpful and friendly, he answered all our questions about the vehicles and was not pushy at all. Rick was very patient with us as we were not 100% sure at first what we wanted. Rick and his manager worked with us to get the best deal and get us out the door and on our way in a timely manner, we did not have to spend all day going back and forth about the out the door price. Rick went over everything in our new vehicle before letting us leave so we were familiar with our new purchase. We have always been Nissan owners and have always had good experience at Nissan of Melbourne, their staff and service department are very helpful and friendly. More

I walked into Melbourne Nissan for the first time and it will be the last time every. In the car industry if the trade in is at the dealership and all authorized and decision makers are at the dealership, there is no way they would walk out of a dealership. Well, they managed the assist me to walk out of the dealership within 20 minutes of entering the dealership. The best part of coming into this dealership was that they allowed me the opportunity to compare them to Mike Erdman Nissan. I ended up purchasing my new car at Mike Erdman Nissan hours later. I encourage everyone to shop around. More
Unprofessional Sales Team - Phone is being spammed nonstop I went to Nissan of Melbourne earlier this month to look at purchasing a vehicle. I began to look at pre-owned Altimas where I was greeted by Max. The first thing I told him was that I am a current owner of a 350z and I was looking to get into another Nissan, but I haven't decided exactly what I wanted yet. However, I made it adamant that I wasn't looking for the same car as my mom. My mom has a Sentra and I didn't want the same car as her. I said this repeatedly. Looking over the Altima I get a rundown of the features before going inside and sitting at his desk. He grabs us a water, thank you. Tell him exactly what everything is on my end, budget, credit, etc. and what I am looking for. He seemed to make more small talk with my mom about non-automotive subjects than with myself. Hello? Max? I'm the potential customer. Establish rapport with me, not my mother thanks. Moving on, I get a condescending breakdown on how my trade in would work, how that would affect payments, my credit, etc. I'm 32 years old and Max is giving me a "Economics 101" lecture on really basic principles. I don't need you to write notes on a piece of paper and put it in front of my face, I am not in school and you are not a teacher. If that wasn't enough to sit through, I wanted to see what my options were. So, he asks me what color would I prefer. I said black. Now, being that I was looking at an Altima before going inside, talking about the features of the Altimas and Maximas once inside, I was thinking he was bringing one of those two models. Nope. He brings out a 2019 Sentra with less features than my moms 2014. Nowhere did I mention that I wanted a Sentra. I made it very known that I wasn't looking to get into one. Over and over again. Nowhere in the whole spiel and run-around and 101 class did Max mention that he was bringing a Sentra. And his response when I told him, well I'm not really looking to get into a Sentra, it's not exactly my first pick: "We'll my first choice is a Ferarri but we all have to ." and that's about all I cared to hear from him. I was pretty disappointed because I have owned 2 previous Nissans: A 1995 240SX and a 2005 350z. I wanted to keep being loyal to the Nissan brand, but that experience turned me away big time. If that wasn't enough, after I left the dealership, I was being spammed everyday with the same automated text message: "Tim, this is Max at Nissan of Melbourne. Are you still in the market for a car? If so, please let me know how I can help?" I replied at one point in time with a picture of the steering wheel and gauge cluster of my new car, to make a point. But, it wasn't received by anyone, since I was still getting this message daily. I called after 2 weeks of this and told them to take me off whatever automated list I am on. I have purchased another vehicle and I am not in the market nor interested in a Nissan anymore. I am still getting this same message as of tonight (8/21) after being at the dealer one time and making it clear I wasn't interested on (8/5). I was even contacted with the same automated message: ""Tim, this is ___________ the sales Manager at Nissan of Melbourne. Are you still in the market for a car? If so, please let me know how I can help?" I am really disgusted in the lack of professionalism and complete disregard of customer service from management and down. I was not treated like I was a person when I was at the dealership and with all of these spam texts, I am still not being treated as a person even after I have made clear to stop sending me them. If my next vehicle is a Nissan, it will never be purchased at this dealership and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More
