I requested that the engine air filter be replaced. Though the engine air filter was replaced the air filter compartment was simply latched at the top and the entire bottom of the compartment was left Though the engine air filter was replaced the air filter compartment was simply latched at the top and the entire bottom of the compartment was left open allowing dirty, unfiltered air to be sucked into the entire system. My spouse drove the car for a week and while driving me to a doctor's appointment complained that the truck was making a strange sound. I listened and as soon as I heard it I told him to pull over immediately. By then the two to three inch opening at the bottom of the engine air compartment had allowed the filter to peel halfway off and was hanging down. If it had fallen out of the compartment while driving there's no telling how much damage to the engine it could have done, not to menton potential loss of life. I've called on three occasions and requested that the service manager return my call as he/she is never available to talk at that time. I am still waiting for that call. That along with the fact that I noticed the addition of a new statement at the end of the service invoice stating that "customer accepts all repairs and maintenance on an 'as is' basis". If the dealer is so lacking in the competence of their service department that they no longer stand behind any maintenance work their employees perform on the vehicles they sell, I ask you, why would I ever have any vehicle I own serviced by them again, or for that matter, buy another vehicle from them again. More
