Dent and ding insurance is a scam I purchased a dent and ding insurance plan at the suggestion of the finance manager at the time I bought my vehicle b/c people seem to door ding me fr I purchased a dent and ding insurance plan at the suggestion of the finance manager at the time I bought my vehicle b/c people seem to door ding me frequently. At the time of purchase, I was told the insurance would cover "any damage smaller than a dollar bill." Today I brought my car in for an oil change and to repair a few small (1"-2") dings. I was informed that my claim was denied because the paint was damaged on my vehicle which rendered the contract null/void. This insurance is complete garbage and I highly recommend anybody considering it...DO NOT BUY IT...unless you are the kind of person who never has your paint scratched or damaged when your car is dented and dinged. TOTAL SCAM! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. They refunded the remainder of my coverage, charged me a $50 cancellation fee, and the insurer kept a good chunk of my hard earned cash for doing their part...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! TOTAL GARBAGE. Brian did an excellent job BTW. He assisted us in getting a little bit of our money back. Thank you Brian for attempting to get these dirt bag insurers to cover the door dings I paid them to repair. My ratings below DO NOT reflect my opinion of Brian. He earned 5-stars across the board. My ratings reflect my dissatisfaction with a car dealership that peddles such GARBAGE insurance! Really??? I am the first customer who purchased this insurance and discovered that door dings with paint damage are not covered!!!! Are you serious? I have never had a door ding that didn't include paint damage!!! I seriously question the integrity of a dealership that continues to sell this scam insurance! I will be taking my future car and truck purchases to a dealership with some integrity. More

Poor customer service I took my Pathfinder in with an error code 420. Ended up being catalytic converter on Bank 1. Took vehicle in for repair. I did like the fact the serv I took my Pathfinder in with an error code 420. Ended up being catalytic converter on Bank 1. Took vehicle in for repair. I did like the fact the service advisor negotiated the price since the Platinum extended warranty did not cover this. Next day the check engine light was on. I called service to let them know. The appt was for Friday to replace a switch for the back window so the service was going to look at the check engine light then. Meanwhile, in Wednesday I took vehicle to business to read the error code. It was the same as the original 420 on Bank 1. Friday morning I took Pathfinder in to an independent mechanic. He verified the error code to read the same 420 on bank 1. And that the catalytic converter has been replaced on the wrong Bank. In the afternoon when I went to the dealer service I mentioned the catalytic converter had been replaced on the wrong bank and the error code was the same. Remember the original appt was to replace the switch for the window which was suppose to take 30 minutes. To read an error code would take no more than 5 minutes. I waited in the customer waiting area for TWO hours before the advisor finally came to tell me they did everything right and the error code was a 430 on Bank 2. I asked about which side was Bank 2 and he couldn’t remember that it was on a diagram. I said I want to see that diagram. He goes to his desk, I wait for another ten minutes and have had enough. I knew I was being lied to. I made a phone call and went outside. By the time I got off my phone the advisor came outside and said I was right that they installed the catalytic converter on the wrong Bank and they will get me taken care of. I don’t fault the mechanic especially when no one was hurt and there wasn’t any negative incident. I told the advisor I was not paying for this mistake. Oh, on top of the lie... the switch for the window that came in was the wrong part! TWO hours to be lied to and still a broken function with the window. Following week I took the Pathfinder in to replace the catalytic converter on Bank 1. I mentioned to the service advisor I don’t fault the mechanic. I know we are human. However I hold responsible him (the service advisor) and the service manager for the lie. I specifically did due diligence on my part by getting a second opinion. I expected far better customer service especially since I told them what the specific reason was. He should have went above and beyond to ensure of the mistake was accurate . It doesn’t add up to have me wait for two hours while they figure out what to do. I left messages with two staff in mgmt and never did get a phone call back. More
