It’s optional, but you can’t cancel it once you agree to it. If your car is totaled or stolen, you can get $2500 above your car insurance towards the purchase of a new vehicle at the same dealership. Read the fine print, if this would result in the dealership not making a profit, they can reduce that amount. There was no mention of this $449 until hour 4 when we were exhausted and starving. More
