Security Plus extended warranty not as advertised. Dealership issue. When I purchased my new 2017 Altima from Sutherlin, there was a hard pitch for the Nissan Security + Gold Preferred extended war Dealership issue. When I purchased my new 2017 Altima from Sutherlin, there was a hard pitch for the Nissan Security + Gold Preferred extended warranty. It was sold as bumper to bumper with a few exceptions. So last month we took it to get some items fixed. We had paint peeling of at the back window, the speaker covers on the dash are warping, and the splash protector under the car had partially fallen off and was being held in place by cable ties since the bolting came off. The dealership said none of it was covered. My wife went into dealership and discussed it with the Manager and it was a waste of time. Not customer orientated! We called Nissan Corporate and after a week they finally got back. We were told that it is up to the dealership what is covered. Wow really. They would not get involved. We had done this in the past with other Altimas and we got the repairs so something changed and the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Stay away from the warranty and the Sutherlin dealership! More
