From the first day with my most recent service, I received unpleasant service. I was quoted an amount for the service necessary, and although the advisor (Tony Kumm) notated that I had service warran received unpleasant service. I was quoted an amount for the service necessary, and although the advisor (Tony Kumm) notated that I had service warranty when I called to inquire about it, he advised it was expired. I had a friend from another dealership call, and miraculously the service was not expired. On the first day after telling me that the warranty was expired. He advised if I were to approve the service pay out of pocket (almost $1600), then they would have my car fixed by the next morning because they had the part in stock. On Tuesday, when my friend from the local Dodge/Arrigo dealership called to investigate the service warranty a situation and why Tony told me it was expired when he could clearly see that it wasn’t, and I called back that evening to inquire about my warranty the advisor, told Marianne the car would not be fixed until Thursday (2 days later) because they had to order the part. I inquired how is it they had the part one day ago but not today. If this is a common issue for these cars a recall should be issued! However, I don’t believe that to be true and I don’t believe they had to order the part. I believe it was still in stock. The new quote under warranty was $1300. When I received my car back on Wednesday, one day earlier — thankfully— the price was cheaper (a little over $1200). All of that was good and well because it was covered under warranty. But had I acted out of desperation (for necessity of my car) I would’ve spent nearly $1600 and Nissan wouldn’t have batted an eye or even cared that I was over charged! Further, not at any time was I offered a loaner car or a rental. I did not think to ask because during a previous issue with a car I owned from this same location, I was advised that program was discontinued. However, I only found this was untrue when I went to pick my vehicle up from the current service and the cashier that was on shift stated to Marianne that she was glad a customer was not coming that close to 6pm because she did not want to do a rental for him that late in the day. That was grossly unprofessional. It further let me know that customers are not valued and that the associates do not empathize that customers are without their vehicle. My car was in service or at least in Nissan’s possession from 11am-ish Monday (5/13) until Wednesday 5:30pm-ish (5/15). I truly am disappointed and disgusted with how this whole situation has been handled. I know that if this has happened to me, then it has happened to others. That’s terrible that customers are being mishandled and lied to. More
