Bait and switch Let me start off by saying that I have owned Nissans in the past and have bought them new. Sutherlin was offering a trade in deal for $8000. Great, I Let me start off by saying that I have owned Nissans in the past and have bought them new. Sutherlin was offering a trade in deal for $8000. Great, I have an older car that is great shape, good mileage, but it’s time for it go. I found a new car online with a listed price of $23,265. I clicked on the button to get their best price for the car which was $19,525. I went to the dealership and drove the car, decided I wanted it. The salesman and I went to his “office” to get paperwork started. I asked him about the trade in deal they have and he replied that they would only give me 7k for my car. Wait, what? He then proceeds to tell me that in order to use the trade in deal that I had to pay the window sticker price on the car which was almost 29k. I asked how do I get the the 19k price, pay cash? He says no. I ask him again him again how I get the 19k price that is online and he says you can’t. Terrible business practice. Buyer beware! More
