Shane McCabe is the complete oppo To be perfectly honest I hate going to dealerships because most sales guys are total tools and/or are full of s**t. Shane McCabe is the complete opposite and it was a joy dealing with him. He was SO knowledgeable about every single feature of my new truck and very patiently explained how all the new equipment worked. He didn't have to look anything up, he already knew. He was as excited to show me how the new technology worked as I was to learn. Things are weird right now. You cannot order from the factory, so you must rely on your own searching or find a great dealer that will do it for you. I had been looking for a very long time for my perfect truck and had simply given up for the time being. Nissan of Cookeville will diligently search for exactly what you want, not just try to sell you whatever they happen to have on the lot. When Shane saw a truck in Atlanta that was an exact match for what I had been looking for he called me right up and sent over all the available pics of it and the sticker so I could see all the options it had. It was indeed exactly what I wanted and we quickly made a deal over the phone. There wasn't a lot of haggle because their price was already far better than anyone else. I put down a deposit so they could go get it for me and a few days later I was driving to Cookeville to pick it up (and to meet Shane in person for the first time). Is it weird to drive 2 hours get a vehicle? Yeah, kinda, but the local dealers were jerking me around and were not interested in giving me a stellar experience; they wanted to gouge as much they they could, sometimes charging as much as FIVE THOUSAND Dollars over MSRP (Ted Russell Nissan), and were giddy to do so. Not Nissan of Cookeville. They were WAY more fair in their pricing. I guess that's why they are the #1 seller of Frontiers. I will say that I'd knock off a quarter star for the dealership because the paperwork required to get out of there was ridiculous, even with a cash sale. Anyway, they care about your car buying journey and will not tolerate employees who provide a sub-par experience. Why can't all dealers behave this way? I would positively buy here again. More
