Customer Service of Rome was stellar! I had reservations about coming on short notice to have my oil changed however Rome assured me I’d be done within 2hours. He was knowledgeable about the recommendated additional service to my car. He explained the importance and the impact to having these additional repairs. Service Manager is dishonest and belligerent. My 2009 Altima had a warranty extension through 2015 on the steering column lock/electronic ignition switch. Nissan recognized that numerous consumers My 2009 Altima had a warranty extension through 2015 on the steering column lock/electronic ignition switch. Nissan recognized that numerous consumers were experiencing problems starting their vehicles, without warning. This happened with my vehicle, leaving a family member stranded at a shopping mall a few days before Christmas. A technician and consumer affairs representative informed me that the previous owner of the vehicle took the car to a dealer to repair the problem in 2014. The consumer affairs representative stated that she would request that Nissan cover a portion of the repairs since it was brought in during the warranty period. Imagine my surprise when the Service Manager became belligerent and told me he would not continue to discuss anything with me about the vehicle, demanding all correspondence in writing. He said he cannot share the service record on the vehicle and the warranty expired in 2015. I emailed him my request for the service record and a discount on the repair as promised by the consumer affairs department. A week has passed and I have received no response. I had my car towed to another dealer - the repair is costing half the price that was quoted at Nissan of Bowie and I was given a loaner car. I have owned 4 Nissan vehicles. I can guarantee that I will NEVER conduct any business at the Bowie dealership. More
