I took my vehicle in to have the front camera looked at because it blacks out from time to time. The diagnostic found it needed a new camera replacement. I was told it was not covered under warranty and it because it blacks out from time to time. The diagnostic found it needed a new camera replacement. I was told it was not covered under warranty and it would cost 1200 dollars, even though my car had less than 30,000 miles at that time. I left there and called the warranty number located in my owner’s manual. Nissan said my car was fully covered and should have been repaired and that they would notify the shop. The shop called me back and asked when could I bring my vehicle in for repair? I told them I would bring it in when they receive the part we agreed on a week from that day I bought my car in on a Wednesday morning at 9 AM. I was told they would give me a call when the work was completed. That day went by and I heard nothing the following day I stop by the shop to see if the work was completed I was told by my rep that there was not an update on my car at that time. Even though the shop was 12 feet away from where we were standing and he could’ve walked over to see what was going on with my car. I told him OK and to give me a call when they were finished. Two more days went by and I decided to give them a call on Saturday. My representative then told me that they were waiting on approval from Nissan to get the part for my vehicle totally contradicting what Nissan had already told me, and what they had already told me that they had the part already on hand. I call back on Monday and asked to speak to my representative he was off so I asked to speak to the shop manager. He was in a meeting and he was going to call me back. when you called me back, he said the part would be in the following day, and then my car would be finished that day. That they came and went. No one has called to give me an update on my vehicle. Now we’re on the second day my my car was promised and still no update. My point is I am a very understanding person and I know that things happen. Maybe the part was delayed but I could’ve received a phone call stating the issue instead of no one has contacted me at all. I personally feel that this is their way of inconveniencing me for calling Nissan to find out that my car was still in warranty, and should’ve been fixed the first time. I have purchased 5 Nissan Maxima’s and 1 Nissan Centra in the past 7 years. I fell like I will never purchase another car from a them again. I’m also not a fan of taking surveys, but i keep getting text messages and emails to do so, and it not being heard by anyone at the dealership. More
