My experience was as expected and was overall ok, up until I received a call after I arrived home. My wife had taken a car in to get serviced. While we were there, we worked with a sales rep to see wh until I received a call after I arrived home. My wife had taken a car in to get serviced. While we were there, we worked with a sales rep to see what kind of options we had and worked out a deal with cashun "cash" robinson. While in negotiation, I made it clear that I would not be interested in making any deal until they agreed that we would be not be liable for the service fees of the car my wife had taken in for repair, which amounted to $495. “cash” went to the service dept. to see what the status was of the vehicle in repair and then went to his managers to see what he could do. He came back and agreed that we would not be liable for the service charges but added a few other terms that did not work for me. We negotiated further and never again mentioned that we were again liable for the service fees before finally agreeing on a deal. After agreeing to a deal, we sat for about an hour and a half waiting for Lisa M. in finance to be ready for us. She went over the terms of the deal, was aware that we had taken a car in to get serviced, which was now being traded in as part of the terms of the new deal. Again, never mentioned the fees due at service. I signed and paid the down payment/difference owed on the trade-in vehicle and I went on my way and left my wife at the dealership until the new vehicle was available. The sales rep brought the trade-in vehicle around to the front so my wife could get her personal items out while the new car was being delivered. After I signed and paid, we never drove or even got the keys of the trade-in, the sales rep just left it out front so that she can get her stuff and took the keys with him. We did not confirm the repair were done and we really didn't care since we had agreed that I would not be liable for the service fees and we no longer owned the car anyways. After I returned home, I received a call from the sales rep. asking me when I was going to pay the $495 service fee. He really did not take part in the negotiations between myself and "cash" so I told him that we had agreed that I would not be liable for these charges. He replies that he heard me say that I would pay the service fee and according to him the finance manager also made me aware of the fees and that I did indeed need to pay it. I told him that I never agreed to those fees and I that would not have made a deal had the service fees still been on the table. He then tells me that his job is on the line if I don't pay up. I don't believe that a company like Nissan would put its employees up to these types of tactics to collect money from its customers. I asked him to get me in contact with his manager, "cash" since ultimately this was his mistake/responsibility/lie. I never heard from either the sales rep or his manger. In an attempt to get resolution, I called a couple of hours later to speak with “cash” since he didn’t have it in him to contact me and was the clown I was communicating with to negotiate a deal. He takes no responsibility for his mistakes and flat out lies and says that everyone told me that I was responsible for the service fees. So either I'm lying and I managed so somehow sneak away after closing on the deal (funny how paying the service fee never came up while I was sitting around for an hour and half waiting for finance) or Nissan actively employs the typical sleazy salesmen like "cash" to get the sales rep. into guilting me to pay a fee I wasn't responsible for and later straight out lie about what I said and what Lisa said to me. After what I thought was a relatively decent car buying experience, I no longer have interest in conducting business with Nissan of Redlands once this lease is up, because of the actions and lies of this clown sales manger cashun robison. In closing out the conversation with “cash” he said he would need to speak with his managers and team the following day and would get back to me the next morning so we could resolve the issue. As expected, I never heard back from this clown and consider this review of Nissan of Redlands as my resolution to the issue. More
