Service department--poor communication I called for an appointment because I kept getting calls from the dealership reminding me that I needed to come in. When I spoke with Kendall Smith h I called for an appointment because I kept getting calls from the dealership reminding me that I needed to come in. When I spoke with Kendall Smith he said that there were appointments for the same day or next day available. I told him I would bring my vehicle in at 7:30 am the next day. After looking at my last visit he said I would probably just need an oil change. When asked, he said it would take 45 minutes to an hour. I showed up at 7:25 am and there were three cars ahead of me. After being told by a different technician that the wait would be one hour to one hour and 15 minutes, I brought up what the K S moth tech had said the day before. It didn't matter what was told to me yesterday; the wait would be longer. I said that (the service department) needs to communicate better. The tech I spoke with the day before said that he never said that I had an appointment; he said he told me on the phone that oil changes are first come first serve only. I strongly disagree. I was encouraged to bring my car in either the day I called or the next day. At no time in our phone conversation was I told that I would have to wait longer than 45 minutes to an hour. At no time was the phrase "first come first serve" mentioned. Just be aware of this when you bring your auto in to this dealership for service. More
Best car buying experience! After going to a dealership and dealing with a high pressure salesman, Jon Gray and the staff at Nissan North was such a breath of fresh air. Jon took his time and listened to what I wanted, he never rushed me or pressured me. It was such a wonderful experience because he was so personable, laid back, and funny. Then once we found the car I wanted the loan process, paperwork, and finalizing everything was a breeze! Not only that but they got me a better interest rate than the other place I looked AND gave me more for my trade-in. Jon and everyone at Nissan North truly went above and beyond in every aspect. More
Excellent People, Showroom, and Nissan's of course .. We went there to make a purchase of 1 vehicle (Altima) only and ended up buying 2 from them (Altima and Pathfinder), Biggest reason behind the purchas We went there to make a purchase of 1 vehicle (Altima) only and ended up buying 2 from them (Altima and Pathfinder), Biggest reason behind the purchase is the way they operate, (Just so you know we also went to 2 other dealerships in this area) by that I mean no pushy sales tactics, Guys (Gabe, Jeremy and Scott) were very transparent during the whole process, Listened to our needs and worked with us very patiently. Their dealership showroom is also very nice with great entertainment area (including food) that our kids really enjoyed, it is very important feature to have for families with kids. We are very satisfied with the dealership and will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to make a new vehicle purchase. I hope it helps, Thanks. More

They did spend a lot of time with me be it during test drives or discussing Nissan in general. At no stage I felt I was being pulled/pressured into buying one. They had a genuine curiosity to help me and ensure I walk away happy with the deal. Its an open secret that one is ready to spend the money when searching for a new car. But Nissan North management and Sales worked in a way it felt like win-win. Other's I worked with were Tyler and Eric. Special mention to their support. Never seen a finance services manager ( in this case Eric) work with customer and explain different scenarios where the cost of ownership could be lower. I am pretty positive that if you made your decision to buy Nissan , you must safely consider that Nissan North is the BEST place. I had seen other dealerships which told me I was wasting their time 30 mins after purchasing the vehicle when they were asked some questions on certain things. More

The Nissan North team turned what was a stressful process into an enjoyable experience! From the beginning of the process to the actual purchase, the everyone was helpful, and very personable. Initially I chatted with Rebecca about various models on http://www.nissanofcolumbus.com, and then set an appointment through Holly. Both ladies went out of their way to be helpful, responding quickly in a professional yet personable manner. Due to multiple reasons, my husband and I were under a stressful, huge time-crunch to make our purchase the evening we stopped by. The bank we did our financing through closed at 7PM, and we both did not get out of work until 5:30, giving us a mere hour and a half to drive in rush-hour traffic half-way across town to the dealership, view the vehicle, and complete the entire purchase (not an ideal situation). My husband dropped me off at Nissan North so I could handle the details there, while he quickly drove to our bank (trying to make it before they closed) to handle the finances on that end. After I explained our unique situation to Mark, he quickly assessed the needed process, and calmly expedited everything – even going so far as to personably call our banker and speak with them on our behalf (with our permission since he knew my husband wasn’t going to make it in time), faxing and personally texting everything needed over to our bank and obtaining the essential information for our purchase that evening. After Mark gathered all the needed documents, we relaxed while he finished up the paperwork for us. So easy! Due to Mark’s fantastic customer service, professionalism and promptness we were able to purchase our car that evening! So very thankful that the entire team at Nissan North was able to turn what we thought was impossible request, into a reality! Highly recommend! More
We bought a “certified” pre-owned 2004 Ford Focus from Nissan North on December 20th after my college student daughter was in an accident and her previous car could not be repaired. She was excited about the “new” car but her father told her it had some front end issues so if Nissan North would sell it to her for less than the listed price of $4000, she could buy it and he would fix it. Amazingly, they did reduce the out-the-door cost to $3500 and we were very happy! We were very happy, that is, until the car did not start 3 days after we purchased it. We were having below 0 degree weather in Columbus so we thought that was the problem. It continued to not start, so, after jumping it a few times, we bought a new battery. That did not work so my daughter learned how to un-hook the battery when she went to school or work. Then we bought a jump starter so she could stop un-hooking the battery. After 3 weeks of dealing with it, we took it back to Nissan North and they readily agreed to test it. We have had the car now for 3 months and Nissan North has looked at it twice. The second time they kept it for a week and they can find nothing wrong. They mentioned taking it to Ford and letting them look at it but did not follow through with that. Then they said it was the battery terminals and said they replaced them. In reality, they only replaced one side. My college student daughter now has to carry a jump starter with her at all times. Today she is out of state and cannot start it or jump it. My problem with Nissan North is that we bought the car “as is” but expected to be able to actually drive the car. A car can’t be driven if it can’t be started. Nissan told me on 2/24/14 that they were escalating the issue to another manager and they would get back to me. That was 3 weeks ago and I have not heard a thing. I even asked my husband to sell the car and he said he refused to sell a car with a known problem to someone else. Although that is what Nissan North did to us. If they were not aware of the problem while they had the car, the previous owner obviously did know it so it should be Nissan North’s problem as a major car dealership and should not have been dumped on a 21 year old college student who is just trying to go to school and work. We went from being excited about the car to not even liking to drive by Nissan North because, like any parent, I just want my daughter to have a reliable car to drive and she has had to resort to having to jump start her $3500 car almost on a daily basis. I am very appreciative that Nissan North agreed to look at the used car in the first place but have determined that since they bought a car with a major mechanical issue it should not be our problem and they should take the responsibility to resolve the issue. More
I called in to schedule an Appointment for my Nissan Rogue 2008 which is making an engine sound. The guy who picked up the call at Service Center (Saturday 01/25/2014 8:12 AM Eastern Time) said he has n Rogue 2008 which is making an engine sound. The guy who picked up the call at Service Center (Saturday 01/25/2014 8:12 AM Eastern Time) said he has no available time before Tuesday; which is fine. Since I work on weekdays, I asked whether an appointment on next Saturday or any other weekend could be available. He flat out said 'No'. Then when I said thank you, I will have to look somewhere else - he said Ok, and then hung up as if he did not care. He did not even make an effort to accommodate the timing or offer an alternative. He was like, I am the boss, I do not care what your constraints are; either my way or highway. More
My wife and I went in looking for an Altima with certain features and packages. We got exactly what we wanted, and I feel we got a really good deal on it compared with what we've seen online. My wife is 8 mos pregnant and they expedited the process as much as possible so we could get out of there and get her some lunch! This is the second car I've bought from the dealership and I would continue to go there if Nissan keeps up the quality in their cars and trucks. More
I purchased a 2012 Nissan Altima in August 2013. It had a scratch on the back bumper they agreed to fix when I purchased the vehicle. Not only did they give me a 2013 Nissan Altima with less than 200 mile a scratch on the back bumper they agreed to fix when I purchased the vehicle. Not only did they give me a 2013 Nissan Altima with less than 200 miles to drive while my car was getting serviced, but they also delivered my car to me when it was finished. That may not seem like much, but I was 35 miles away at a hospital while my mother was in ICU. Kas Jeffries didn't give it a second thought. He delivered the car to me...on his birthday no less! I can't recall ever getting that kind of service from a dealership and it won't be forgotten! I would recommend Nissan North for the excellent work done to my vehicle, and most of all for the service given to me as a customer. Thank you! More
Drove 600 miles to buy the car. Car was not cleaned properly. I expected more from this dealer and was very disappointed. If my wife didn't like the car so much, I would have walked.
