Bad customer service. Unfriendly. Unhelpful. Horrible customer service. Very unfriendly, and unhelpful staff. I would advise avoiding Roger Bybee to deal with your car. Niello VW Service department can use some help on how to treat customers, and how to diagnose service issues. The issue my vehicle had and the reason I brought my car to them, was not even approached or looked at. They simply said there is not a check engine light on, so your out of luck. They kept my vehicle for 27 hours for no reason, and tried to charge me for parts and service I did not approve. I feel as though they could care less about you as a customer, and I would suggest taking your car to a different VW dealer for any service needs. I am an experienced long time service advisor and service manager of a VW/Audi dealership and am appalled that this dealer has awards with the service I have experienced and witnessed. Any award giving to this service department is misleading and any award that is placed on Roger Bybee's desk should not exist. I will however end this with the fact their coffee was good and waiting area is nice, as I had to wait 3 hours for a simple 1 hour stereo job. I hope their sales department is better, but the time that I spent walking around the lot and showroom, i was not approached once by a sales associate, so I would not know. Best of luck to all on your VW needs. More

Something shady is going on at this establishment 2. They lie to their customers 3. Sales reps are out to make sales regardless of what your concerns are 4. To sell a car, the car must be present- not being taken out for joy rides by workers etc. I called the day before and spoke to a sales rep to make sure the car was going to be there because I was coming from out of town. When I arrived the person I spoke to previously was off and someone named Jamal insisted that he would be able to help me out. I said I was there to see a 2013 CC that was listed online. INSTANTLY he pointed to the car in front of us and said it was that one without a doubt and said he would get the keys. As he raced in, my brother and I walked to the front of the car and noticed it was a 2011 model. So my family and I went off to look for the car ourselves, after 10 minutes of walking around and noticed the car was not on their lot. I noticed Jamal backing out the CC that he insisted was the car I was looking for. I quickly ran over and told him it wasn't the one. That's when he said okay, parked and said he would check on the car I was asking for. 15 minutes later... Jamal said the car was at the detailing shop and that they called it and it would be back ASAP. 30 minutes later... Jamal came back and offer my family water. Restated that they called and the car is on it's way and that we could take the car as soon as it arrives. My parents asked a couple more questions about why the car was at the shop and which shop, Jamal declined to answer. 50 minuties later.. I see a young couple racing down the street with the potential car I wanted to purchase come in the drive way. This is when I see their boss waving his hands and yelling at the young man as he races inside the dealership. I walk around to where the car was parked and Jamal said let's take a drive. I opened the driver side door and poof- all I smelt was perfume. Jamal had lied. The car was not cleaned/ detailed like he insisted for the past hour. I took the car for the test drive since it was the car I wanted to buy, but I noticed an additional 1,300 miles on the car!! Jamal apologized and said that they would make things right if I bought the car. He actually said that wasn't a lot of miles and not to worry. After my 10 minute test drive the dealership had closed when we got back . Jamal rushed us to go inside, to sign papers. I wanted to discuss with my family if it was right to purchase since we noticed during the car ride more bumpy than usual. Jamal did not leave, instead insisted that we were "stupid" if we did not purchase today. Jamal said we could discuss numbers inside with his boss. Since the car was covered under warranty I considered it. We tried to negotiate less than 1,000 off the price. Jamel said No. Didn't bother to ask. ( Didn't know he was his own boss) We had to go up 500 for him to consider, but getting a counter 200 off the asking price. The additional mileage was 1,300 miles added to the car at 20 cents a mile ( this is what Jamal said they charge) = 260 dollars should have been taken off at least not 200. I did not purchase their car. The next day I received a text from the lady who I had made the appointment with. She asked why I did not buy the car. I explained to her exactly what I had wrote in this review. Her response was that the car was LOANED to a customer since their car was in the shop being repaired and a miscommunication occurred.( I did not know that the boss would yell at customers because that is what happened when the young man brought it back.) She asked if I'd considered going back to purchase the car if we did not have to deal with Jamal. I declined and went to another dealership to buy my car. More

THE BEST NEW CAR PURCHASE we have ever experienced (17th car). The "team" of sales people didn't rush us into anything. They really listened to our story - why we were needing a new car, what we wanted in car). The "team" of sales people didn't rush us into anything. They really listened to our story - why we were needing a new car, what we wanted in a car, our financial situation. Even the way they passed us up the ladder to the next sales person. Felt they really did want to make a sale, of course because that's their job. But they wanted to make the sale with us, genuinely caring about us. May have been our lucky day but I don't think so. This was our 7th purchase at Niello. And their service dept. backs them up. Don't ever feel deserted after the sale. Go to Niello even if you've never considered a VW. Buying from them is great. More
Niello Volkswagen deceitful and unprofessional business practices... I want to express my total outrage and disappointment in Niello Volkswagen "sign and drive" event tactics. After having spent long ho practices... I want to express my total outrage and disappointment in Niello Volkswagen "sign and drive" event tactics. After having spent long hours on Friday (November 1st) with Shawn Pollard and Kevin Bell, working the "four squared" sheet back and forth, including the participation of Syd Bailey as sales manager, we finally agreed on the lease terms as follows: $500 down and $350 monthly payments for 42 months for a 2014 Jetta SEL 1.8. Since the vehicle was not available in the color I wanted, we agreed on closing the deal on the following day when they would have the vehicle ready. On Saturday morning, I've received a phone call from Mr. Kevin Bell to confirm our appointment, but I told him that due to family commitments, it had to be postponed until Sunday. I was even reassured by Mr. Shawn Pollard that the deal was on when I called him to confirm. On Sunday morning Mr. Kevin Bell called me again to remind me of our appointment. After hiring a nanny and driving over 30 miles to the dealer, my wife and I had our first disappointment when Mr. Bell told us that the vehicle we were supposed to have was sold. He insisted in walking us around the lot to show us some other vehicles which we were not interested in. So, when I vehemently complained about the fact that we should have been informed about the fact before wasting the time and the hassle of the whole ordeal, he just proudly replayed: "we sold nine cars yesterday including the car you wanted". At this point I was obviously upset, especially due to the fact that they had totally ignored our verbal agreement and instead were trying to persuade us to come to the dealer to find another vehicle we were not looking for. So, I demanded to talk to Mr.Pollard, but since Mr. Pollard was off on that day, Mr. Bailey (Sales Manager) came out, and when I confronted him about the whole situation, he just cynically replied: "well, if you are not happy here just go somewhere else"... Of course, after such a lack of empathy and unprofessional behavior my initial frustration turned into anger. Obviously these people couldn't care less about our frustrating situation. Finally, a nice guy, Mr. Ray Chacon, approached us in a very sympathetically manner and respectfully apologized about the whole incident. After being calmed down by his good intentions, my wife and I decided to give him a chance (He even offered to have the vehicle delivered to our house, plus three full tanks of gas). At the end, it only proved to be another disappointment when he came to us with a copy of the "four-square" sheet I had worked with Mr. Pollard, and saying that the deal was based on different "numbers". In other words, they just have bluntly disregarded our initial verbal deal by wanting to increase our monthly payments. Late than never we came to realize that the whole deal was a charade, and that we were just fooled around by unscrupulous sales people, which by the way, seems to be the standard among auto dealers. I just hope Volkswagen of America will listen to customer's complaints. I've been a VW fan since I first drove a GTI back in the early 80s. Unfortunately, I came to realize years later that they care about their cars more than their drivers.. More
Everyone, from when I first contacted the dealership until I drove away with my car (and even after that), was incredibly helpful, friendly, honest, and courteous; I couldn't have asked for a better tra until I drove away with my car (and even after that), was incredibly helpful, friendly, honest, and courteous; I couldn't have asked for a better transaction. I came from Oregon via Amtrak; I was picked-up there, driven to a separate appointment I had to do first, then to the dealership for my car. Also, with no additional cost to me, they arranged for 2 drivers to drive me out of state, so I could take delivery of the car outside California (as I live full time in Oregon), and wouldn't have to pay California sales tax. After the sale, they arranged for me to get an extra key (that I didn't even ask for) and are paying to have it programmed. Also, they are going above and beyond in helping me get all I need to get the car registered in Oregon. A very pleasant and positive experience from beginning to end! More

I went to Niello to look at a VW Beetle that my daughter and I saw on Internet. I admit I was not into actually buying unless it was a good price. The car was listed for $14888. With 60K miles on it. and I saw on Internet. I admit I was not into actually buying unless it was a good price. The car was listed for $14888. With 60K miles on it. Here's what I got. I offered $10700. They said they could not do that (I knew that)but it was a good starting point..Darcee came back/no go....Darcee then said, well howabout half way at $12500....I said what about 11700. She came back saying that they would only go $100 dollars off the asking price!!!!!!That was it!! And she THANKED ME FOR COMING IN!!! REALLY She scooted me out, and when I was getting ready to leave, they drove the car right in front of us, and reparked it out front. How rude! I called this morning and talked to Keith, the Manager there. He told me he was the one negociating the price. he said it should have been $400 off the asking price. Again, really??? Why am I writing this. To let people know there is no deal here to be had. This place will not give you a deal. If you look right now at beetles, if it has less than or about 35k miles on it, it lists for $14999 to 15999. Beetles with more miles of 50 - 60k miles are listing for $13888 or less. More
