The salesman was nice - He seemed to be honest and decent. However in one weeks time the used car manager changed the price he could give me on my trade in 3 times lowering it. Then they high-pressure you to buy the exteneded warrantys on their used automobiles. If I could go back 4 weeks ago I would never buy the car. This was a certified used vehicle = after 2 weeks i checked the oil in car and it was black. also the fluids levels were not full. Terrible experience. There is something wrong with the brakes but I have not had time to get the car back to the dealer. I guess its true what they say, dont let a woman go and buy a car by herself. Bad for the woman. Mr. Rob King for never doubting us and insuring we would get the best finance deal available. Both Bruce & Rob insured we did not leave with a "pre-approved" high interest rate, but was able to obtain a 0% interest rate on our new vehicle. Now for Bill Wally (GM), his leadership reflects great credit upon Newton Nissan and explains why the staff from the sales team, to the finance team and to the service department, was geniune in their service and their friendly attitude toward us. We bought a barely used Maxima with low miles from Margaret Garland a year ago--she was very helpful during and after the sale. We felt like we got a reasonable price and have been very happy with the car. The dealership is so clean, and the service people so friendly. The only confusing thing were the many options with the extended warranty, and we probably should have put more thought into that before making that decision. Margaret followed up with us by e-mail a year after purchase, and when my husband decided to replace our 14 year old truck with 200,000 miles on it, he was surprised to see a used Dodge Dakota for a good price with low mileage at Newton Nissan. We called on Sunday, Jan. 30 to see if we could look at it, we were surprised to find it open. Of course we asked for Margaret, but she wasn't working that day. A friendly young man, Chad Waggoner, had the truck open when we got there. We were disappointed it smelled so smoky and the seats were dirty and stained. But although it was the first truck we had looked at and hadn't planned on making a purchase so soon, my husband said from what he had researched online, we were unlikely to get such a good price and low mileage, and it had the towing package we needed for pulling a boat. And we were given a great trade-in amount on the old truck. So we made the quick decision to buy it. We were told we could bring the truck back on a warm day to have it cleaned on the interior, but the first warm day was a Sunday, and I just steam-cleaned the seats myself, and it no longer smells or looks dirty. Here are a couple of issues I had with the recent sale. There was not an owners' manual or key to the truck bed hardcover, and Chad told us he would check with the former owners to see if they had them. By the next Friday, when I'd not heard from Chad, I called him. He promised he'd check with them and call me back that day. It is now 5 days later, and we've heard nothing. Also, I had mentioned to Margaret and also to Chad that my husband's title is Mr., not Dr. Not only did Chad not change that in the system, he sent an e-mail thanking Dr. David only (the vehicle is also being paid for with my income) for HIS purchase. Another poor service judgement was when I took a check into the finance office on Monday, and 3 guys were chatting in there. One young man jokingly asked if I knew some rich old woman who could adopt him. I just laughed because that sounds like something my husband and his friends would come up with, but it was a unprofessional remark made to someone he doesn't know well, and could really backfire if made to someone who would be offended. I was in travel sales for 21 years, and realize if people are not treated well after the sale, often they talk about their experience to other people, and are likely to never repeat business. Maybe these young men might learn from their mistakes to improve future business. More
