RO# 160303 I recently visited Lexus of Newport for a routine maintenance visit after receiving a notification on my screen. During the visit, I was informed of additional issues with my tires and AC. I felt that the service consultant appeared frustrated and impatient while explaining these matters to me. I asked for some time to discuss this with my family and friends, and once I authorized the extra repairs, I noticed the staff seemed much happier, lighter, and more relieved. When it came time to pay, I presented documents regarding a 2-year tire guarantee from a previous dealership, but I felt the staff was not willing to fully look into it. The consultant only looked at the internal system on his end, while I had physical documents in front of me, and there was no integration between those two sources of information. He did not go out of his way to try and bridge the gap between those two pieces of information for me. I was offered the chance to speak with a manager right then, but I had an appointment to get to and had to leave the dealership immediately. I am now open to having a manager contact me, preferably through email for transparency. My priority in speaking with a manager is to ensure the information received regarding my 2-year tire guarantee is thoroughly reviewed, shifting the focus from me as being the source of income to building things on mutual trust.
