Recall Work plus Oil Change I took my truck in for recall work and while there, had an oil change done. On my truck this is a $150.00 procedure. Holly, the service writer was exc I took my truck in for recall work and while there, had an oil change done. On my truck this is a $150.00 procedure. Holly, the service writer was excellent. Upon receiving the truck back I was leaving the dealership when I noticed a warning telling me I was do for an oil change??! I went on home to see how I needed to reset the oil change minder. When I pulled into my garage I noticed the smell of radiator fluid. I just had an EGR valve replaced, so I knew this was probably normal. I went to open the hood to make sure all was good, when I noticed on the front bumper of this $50K + truck, footprints! Yes, whomever serviced my truck stood on the front bumper. I went on and opened the hood. I noticed immediately the fuse box lid was off and laying loosely in the engine compartment. So to recap, after getting recall work done and paying $150 for an oil change - I had to reset my own oil change minder, see footprints on my bumper and reinstall the fuse box cover. I took the truck back to show Holly the footprints and I also expressed my concerns about the mechanic. She offered to wash my truck for me, which I declined, and was very apologetic. Hopefully she really took this to the mechanic like she said she would. I guess if there is any silver lining to this visit, it was this was the first time I have taken a vehicle here for service that they did not tell me I had very expensive front end issues to resolve!
