They didn't even try to tell us how good we would look sitting behind the wheel of the beautiful red SRT xxxx Cat Challenger parked on the show room floor. Even though we kept looking at it a dozen times. They bent over backwards to help us make our purchase to the point we thought they might injure themselves. Pushy Salespeople with no Follow-Through After Purchase I should have known better when I went to test-drive the vehicle and it was filthy, there was an engine light glowing, and no gas in the tank, even th I should have known better when I went to test-drive the vehicle and it was filthy, there was an engine light glowing, and no gas in the tank, even though I had seen it sitting on craigslist for a few weeks. When I commented on this, I was told,"Why would we take the time to fix it if people are still willing to come look at it and to buy it." After arguing back, I was then told that if I purchase the car, the service department would call me the next day and take care of everything. I went home to think about it, and decided the price was good enough that I should purchase the car because I believed they would take care of everything for me. Especially since the salesperson told me "Everything will be taken care of tomorrow, and I will call you first thing in the morning to set up an appointment with the service department." After I purchased the car, I never heard from the salesperson again. I had to leave multiple angry phone calls and angry emails over the course of several weeks before someone finally returned my calls and set up a time to fix the car. Over the course of the next 4 weeks, I had to drop off my car multiple times to fix the problem with the engine lights and to have it detailed. All of this should have been taken care of before the car was even put on the lot for sale. The A/C in my car still smells. Further, the salesperson tried to sell my husband on a car he did not want, and when he firmly declined the offer, he was treated very rudely by the sales staff. My husband bought a car from a Salem dealership a few weeks after I did, and the buying experience was infinitely greater than dealing with this run-down place. Even though you might find a good deal, I would highly recommend you take your business to another dealership that truly cares about the buyer experience and making things right. Update 7/7/16: Because of my bad review on this site, the dealership called me to fix the remaining problem with the smell in the AC. They flushed the AC twice and detailed my car, and changed the air filters. This has taken care of the smell for now. More
