Beware of Service Scams! Took my car to them for a recall repair and alignment. They told me that they could not align the vehicle because the "tie rod ends are all stripped Took my car to them for a recall repair and alignment. They told me that they could not align the vehicle because the "tie rod ends are all stripped out." They also said that because the tires were worn they could not align the vehicle. When I told him I did not want the tie rod ends replaced, he got real serious with me and said, "Be Careful driving. The tie rods are what steers the car." I laughed at the guy and took my car home. Either they are completely clueless on the subject, or they were trying to take me for a big ride! Anyone who knows anything about mechanics knows that there is no way to tell if a tie rod end (basically a bolt with a big extension and a ball joint) is stripped is if you take it off. That is because it is a nut, and you can not see inside the nut when there is a bolt in it. I know they did not take the tie rod ends off to make this determination. Also, as a side note, alignment has to do with the wheels, not the tires. Worn tires will make your new alignment not feel right, but they will not prevent someone from properly aligning the vehicle.. When I got home, I took a look at things. The exposed threads of the inner tie rod looked great. Both the inner tie rod and the end were very firm and showed no signs of slippage. I highly recommend that you only take your vehicle to this place for warranty repairs, or repairs you KNOW you actually need. Never just accept their recommendations. They are likely to tell you your "xxxxxx bars are broken." More

I had a short window of time available to see the car, so he took it upon himself to drive the car to my house with all the paperwork. Quick and easy. Best experience working with a dealership ever. Up sale to ALMOST "bait and switch" level I first went to the dealership in June. In their search for the car I wanted, they consistently found cars with additional option packages I didn't w I first went to the dealership in June. In their search for the car I wanted, they consistently found cars with additional option packages I didn't want at higher prices than I could pay. They finally ordered a car from the factory only to have it rejected weeks later. Again they tried to sell me cars with more features and higher prices. In December, they called saying they found a car with the options I wanted. When I got to the dealership, it had more options than I wanted and at a higher price. Again, they tried to order a vehicle from the factory, but weeks later I was told the factory was not making any more of the vehicle I wanted. They ordered a different vehicle that they would sell to me at the same price - that is before taxes and license were added and rebates/incentives were subtracted - as the one I ordered - even though they would "lose a few dollars". Of course, I wouldn't get the $3,000 plus in rebates/incentives on the car I ordered - so MY ending price would go up. They completed the order without consulting me. I WAS told that I wasn't obliged to purchase the car . . . so not quite "bait and switch" - but , , , , When I called them on this, they apologized for the "misunderstanding". The car they were getting in was for their lot and "similar" to what I wanted - they were only offering it to me as possibly meeting my needs (with a bump up in my price). This has taken 7 months and I don't have a car. I'm through dealing with them. Since I submitted this review, I have been contacted multiple times by the dealership. Kyle Walker wrote that this bad review "affects my income and my family which hurts in a big way." (In other words, I'm stealing food out of his baby's mouth!) According to John Henry, the General Sales Manager, this is all a misunderstanding. They had only good intentions. They wouldn't try to up sell as they have the same profit margin no matter what. (X% of $40,000 is more than X% of $30,000 - so there would be a reason to up sell when the profit margin is the same.) My problems, according to John, were with Tim Graves, who is no longer there, and the manufacturer - everything that went wrong was outside their control. They want nothing more than for me to be a happy customer. John wants me to call him so he can apologize. He could apologize (and did) by e-mail - or he could call me. I'm not sure why they would want to apologize if they truly believe that nothing was their fault. Maybe it is another attempt to emotionally manipulate me like Kyle's "You're taking money from my family" statement. I'm simply not biting. I've told them that unless they have a car that meets my needs and I can afford, it is beyond time to go our separate ways. The response was another offer of an apology - but no mention of finding or even looking for a car for me. I may very well have had a very similar experience had I gone to another dealership. But, unfortunately, I went to Newberg Dodge Chrysler Jeep. I can only tell you my experience with them. And maybe you would be more understanding and/or forgiving in this situation. I know they can't please everyone and this might just be a time when it didn't work - twice. P.S. After they posted their response, I called their General Manager and left a voicemail. That was almost a week ago. He has yet to reach out to me. . . . More
