But after a complaint to the dealership about some service (minor) he was even more forward and this time followed the progress of the service through and kept us informed and content all of the way. Generally we find that the employees, both sales and service (we bought two Commander vehicles at this dealership withing the last three years) changes almost every time we go there (every 3 months approximately) so it is difficult to find a continuing relationship with anyone or the dealership itself. Its like starting from scratch each time. We are happy with our vehicle and the cost of maintenance so far. Jeremy appeared to be a more senior service representative and stood behind Anthony and dealt with us personally and did a superb job today. Since we live about 30 miles from this dealership (and there are Dodge-Jeep distributors closer to us) we need to accomplish as much as possible on each visit and the idea of having to come back tomorrow or early next week, etc. is not good for us. We couldn't figure out how to get coffee in our two and a half hour waits. A minor thing, but... More
Talked with Mike on the phone Saturday morning, made appointment to see the car I wanted for 3:30, got to the Dealer, Mike meet me at the door and by 5:30 I was driving my car home. As I have recently documented, I had a wonderful experience buying my used 2500 Dodge Ram Truck at Newberg Dodge. To my absolute astonishment and amazement, my experience with the service departm experience buying my used 2500 Dodge Ram Truck at Newberg Dodge. To my absolute astonishment and amazement, my experience with the service department (Jeremy S.) was equally incredible.... perhaps even moreso! While it is true that during the first pase (purchasing the vehicle), the customer still has significant clout (holding the purse strings); the second phase (servicing the vehicle) tends to be slightly more arduous.. (being at the mercy of the Dealership). NOT SO with Newberg Dodge! Jeremy went out of his way to make sure that everything that was agreed to in the purchase agreement (repairs, etc) were completed in a timely and professional manner. Additionally, for issues that couldn't be handled in a manner that was agreed to, Jeremy went out of his way to find a workable solution for all. In my 35 years as a consumer, I have 1) never owned a Dodge (previously always Ford, or VW), and 2) I have NEVER truly respected any car dealership. Period. Because of my experience with Newberg Dodge, I can truly say that I respect the way in which you opporate your business, and I admire the the way in which the various personell run their respective departments. I have never been more totally satisfied with buying or servicing of a vehicle, than I have been with Newberg Dodge. I look forward to building the relationship, and spreading the word. I bought my Dodge Challenger from a different Dealer in Texas. However all roads led me to Ray. Ray is the most knowledgeable Mopar Parts Man I've talked to and friendly to boot. Ray WANTED to help and was enthusiastic. I was looking for a Mopar Performance part listed in the Mopar Catalog. However when I contacted the Performance and After Market Sales Manager where I purchased my car they could not find it and said they would give me a call the following Monday to update me on the status. I did not get the call and had to call them only to no avail. Second time that dealer had done that to me. I searched the internet, contacted 3 large dealers who only sell Mopar Parts online and none could find anyone with the part in the entire country or for that matter tell me who could. I ended up reaching a dealer who advised me to contact Mopar at a number he provided and still got nowhere. Eventually I reached the Chrysler Help Desk who in turn told me to call the number that led me to Ray Kanally. I thought I was dialing another corporate location for Chrysler and I reached this dealership. I said to myself, if Chrysler trusts Ray there must be a reason. I spoke with Ray for a while and told him all I had been through and how I got to him. He said let me see what I can do for you. I gave him the part number I was looking for and he looked it up. He ran into the same wall several other people ran into. BUT that did not stop him. He used tried and true methods he's learned from experience and back tracked and looked up my vehicle by VIN and available parts for it and other information he found regarding the Part Number I had. He came up with the answer that the part was so new Mopar has not received them from the manufacturing vendor of the electronic chip that was the core of the electronic part. He then looked for alternatives which led basically back to the stock part installed on my vehicle. He also, by using the VIN information I gave him told me other information pertinent to my vehicle and what I'm looking to do. Even though Ray could no locate the part or tell me for sure if it would eventually be available or not, he took my information and said he would look into it and do his best to find an answer about it from Chrysler Corporation. I'll tell you one thing. If there is ever a time when I'm looking for an important Mopar Part, I will be looking for Ray Kanally! And I look forward to hearing from him be it good or bad news. More
I was in search of buying a used truck, and have visited the Dealership on a number of occasions in the past 12 months. In previous months, my experience was mediocre at best. To my surprise, I was greeted by a salesman (Mike F.), who took the time to really try and understand my vehicle needs and what I was looking for. Mike found the truck that suited me perfectly; there were no hassles, no dickering, no unpleasentries; from the start, we each understood that any deal reached, would have to work for both of us. Jay (in Finance) and I were able to finalize a deal that worked for both Newberg Dodge, as well as myself, in a friendly and professional manner. I drove down from washington to look at a couple of vehicles that were listed at Newberg Dodge and was really surprised when I got there. Both of the vehicles were in pretty rough shape cosmetically and hadn't been cleaned up from the last owners. I was really turned off that nobody had mentioned that when I'd called about coming to see the vehicles earlier. The sales people were the saving grace on this sale. They were easy to deal with and offered fair prices. When I came back to sign the papers and drive away with the vehicle a couple of days later, most of the dings and blemishes were fixed on the vehicle's exterior, but the interior still looked untouched. Bummer, but the price was right and they bent over backwards to find me a great deal from the bank. I'm a small business owner and getting a loan these days is a lot harder than it used to be. I really appreciated how honest and upfront Mike and Ron were with the numbers and the options that I had available. I wish they had the vehicle in better shape before they listed it, but overall, it was the best car buying experience of my life, I've referred a couple of my customers to them, and I'll be back when it's time get another rig. They made the paper work part of purchasing very simple and efficient, and spent quite a bit of time explaining and demostrating the multitude of features and settings available on the vehicle. John even came to our home 6 months after we got the Jeep to update us on using all the features after we had time to explore them on our own. Newberg Jeep is 25 miles from our home, but I'd recommend going that far to work with them when purchasing a new car. More
