I was looking for a Highlander with specific options and the closest dealer was Toyota of Westport, I decided to give them a chance unaware of the management change, what a relief, no pressure, no hassle, very respectful, upfront and honest in their dealings with me, needless to say I was given a good deal on the Highlander and I bought the SUV. I would recommend this dealer to family and friends and residents of Westport who may be staying away because of their experience with previous management. Kudos to the new management team at Toyota Of Westport. More

Shoppers need to know that there is a new owner and new management at this location. All of the horror stories that you’ve heard about occurred under the previous ownership. New Country is run with integrity, honesty, and a desire to please their customers. The entire sales process was pleasant and hassle-free and there were no games, tricks, pressure, or other distasteful tactics. The sale was completed in a friendly and positive way and there is not one negative thing to say about this organization. You can shop other dealers, but it will be very difficult to match the honest processes in place here. Other dealers refuse to discount or ask for “Market Adjustment Fees” because they claim the tsunami in Japan has affected inventories. Or they pack on mandatory dealer-installed options and inflate the selling price by several thousand dollars. There were none of these tactics at New Country. Sandaura Brooks, the Internet Sales Manager, and Joe Ferreira, the General Manager, both provided me with prompt information via email. They did everything they could to ensure my satisfaction. Joey Rodegher, the Business Manager, handled the contract paperwork and, in a no-pressure way, offered additional services for me to consider. His demeanor was friendly and helpful and he contributed to the “hassle-free buying experience.” The owner of New Country needs to know that his team is making positive impressions with his customers and prospects. And prospective car buyers need to know that New Country Toyota of Westport is approaching the car-buying process in a fair, honest, and ethical way. More

Vera Hribar was such a doll. It was/is my first time buying a car. She was a lot of fun and spoke with us freely and openly. I never felt pressured by her, and felt that she was trying her best to be buying a car. She was a lot of fun and spoke with us freely and openly. We just bought a Sienna and were extremely satisfied with our entire experience. Joe Draper was our sales guy and he was very down to earth and gave us a great price. Joe Rodegher was the manager who handled the sale and went over all the extended warranty options - he also seemed honest and straightforward. Everyone was friendly and we did not feel like we were being xx'd at all. I mentioned to Joe R. that I had come to this dealership last summer to look at Siennas and the sales guy I had talked with was a jerk and he said they have recently changed out a lot of their sales staff and a few managers, so it seems they are making big changes. My experience this time was great - I would totally go back to buy my next Toyota. More
They are the kings of the nickel and dime, bad faith negotiations. Every time your sales rep goes to talk with his manager, at a minimum be prepared for a few hundred dollar bump in what you offer. if y negotiations. New Country Toyota is the king of bad faith negotiating. They will take you out of the market with a good deal, then either not try and find the vehicle you agreed to, or sell it out from underneath you to someone who didnt negotiate as well. All this is in an effort to get you to spend more for a better model and a less advantageous deal. Avoid them like a social disease. More
Not trust worthy – Bough a certified 09 Camry!! Paid handsome money still I was treated as if I am buying 10 years old car. While selling the car they were nice and polite. They did not keep their promise for delivery date, clean car, change of parts, etc. They delayed car delivery saying work is being done and finally did $5 car wash and delivered car. There were belongings from previous owner!! Before delivery they promised to take care of scratches on car body but finally gave me car paint and asked to get it done myself!! Bought the car an after lot of wait they promised to get the bumper paint work done. It has been 2 months they are not picking my phone calls. Would not recommend this place at all. More

Toyota Roadside Assistance showed up within 15 -20 minutes and jump-started it, and followed me to the dealer, even though they were not affiliated with the dealer. The dealer checked the electric system and replaced the battery at no charge. They stood behind the purchase, which is what we wanted to hear. Nice job RG More
